The settings are the same, they messup with the new firmware, i only drive 2 cars on iracing i know exactly how it should feel. Its not only me, i have read some comments on reddit with similar issues. Rolled back to 455 firmware and driver, feels much better.
456 contains SW FW 1.0.2.0. 455 contains 0.3.5.0 so it fully supports the "new" Fv2.5 wheels. It's just not mentioned in the FW list because that is the OG version flashed on the wheels during production so technically there was no "update" for these wheels included with 455, hence not mentioned, but it's included
thats really a joke, because of that this wheel iss "high cost premium" it becomes directly after the launch a fw update. But we PBMR (Podium Button Module Rally) owners are waiting since the launch, that we can use that PBMR on GT7 without have to buy a expensive APM (Advanced Paddle Module). Because without an APM when we start GT7 the Cursor jumps directly to thhe left side, and when we start a race we are looking straighht to the left side.
@Marcel Pfister & @Maurice Böschen you know exactly what I am talking about... Do you think that is correct to let us wait soooo looooong to get the device we are paying for working correctly ?!?
thats really a bad joke "fixed at some point in the future" don´t you think that missShift Probs are things that are have to get fixed 1st? I mean common boy, when we cant shift correctly than the device iss useless...
The Bentley did not got these fixes directly after launch but together WITH the launch on Day1 as it is the Day1 Patch for the Bentley Wheel and was always planned and scheduled in time for the release.
We know that the many BMR bugs are annoying and we hope to have the fixes merged into a public firmware soon.
The miss-shifts are under investigation with the most critical priority possible. But fixing such an issue is not done over-night. This takes time, unfortunately.
I have a ClubSport DD, ClubSport RS rim and Formula V2.5 with APM. I've read that there are shifting issues with the 2.5, but the firmware number on the rim was 1.x.x.x, mine says it's v47.
Will it work or I should wait until the shifting problem is fixed? I don't have the disconnection issues.
I didn't ask about the disconnections, but the shifting issues on the specific rim which was a topic a few pages back (but with some 1.x.x.x firmware version for the rim, which I don't understand, since mine is v47).
I don't specifically want to update now, but I have plans to buy the new handbrake when it is released (or soon after that), and that will require a firmware upgrade on the base.
the problem is , i not actually see much difference, micro disconnect can also act like miss shift because it loses signal connection what not allows push the button
and make this talk even more complicated, micro disconnect may happen also even between game and drivers.
i not have that much mood for test what cause this exactly, fanatec is that who needs figure out what cause this really
the thing is, it does not happen in 455 and that matter for us
I agree with you, but if I remember correctly (maybe I'm wrong here) either in this topic, or in the v462 thread, Maurice confirmed the shifting bug of the Formula wheels to be fixed in a later firmware (it affects other bases, the issue is independent of the CS DD/CS DD+). And I don't found the comments, but somebody mentioned that only the wheel rim 1.x.x.x firmware is affected and the ones with v47 don't. And I'd like to know if this is true and I can upgrade safely, or not.
I’ve now done 49 hours on my DD+ with the latest firmware from 463 and not a single issue. Using Extreme wheel, Podium hub with PBME and APM, McLaren GT3 V2, CS UH V2 for Xbox, V2.5 on firmware 47. No mis-shifts on the V2.5
i play all day in acc with DD2 after i made full reinstall the 462 and i not saw not a single miss shift, there is a BUT, it started pop up later again.
that's probaply very hard also detect even for the fanatec developers self, something cause this but it not possible see in first fly
it could be even directx or something else. it's so hard to tell without access the code self.
users still can try out self if it cause problems or not. they still can go back to the older firmware, its not end off the world
Ive upgrade to the latest driver 463, and my wheel is messed up. It works for like 1 sec then stops, doesn't register any button presses then after 1-2 sec works again, and so on.
The firmware manager says i'm update to date with everything, the wheel was working fine before the upgrade. I've tried switching the mode.
Comments
Fanalab not helps me, i play a games what fanalab not even support
those are limited amount games what fanatec fanalab self support. there is allot more games in world
that is also a reason why i ask them the SDK so i could develop self the led and other stuff support for games what they self not support at all
i would also like add some games the fullforce support but the DD2 simply not support this
does Bentley steering wheel have fanalab build in? its so expensive so it should have something like this inside already for PlayStation users?
according to they web page there should be ARM Cortex-A53 inside, its like micro PC already. it should able todo allot things.
it could even run some micro game in right hands.
The settings are the same, they messup with the new firmware, i only drive 2 cars on iracing i know exactly how it should feel. Its not only me, i have read some comments on reddit with similar issues. Rolled back to 455 firmware and driver, feels much better.
well, 455 don't seems have miss shift issue either, going back for that it not hurts anyway for some users.
but it does not help everyone because some have way too new steering wheels
The Bentley and the GT X are the only wheels which require a newer driver than 455. All other wheels work fine with 455.
even that new formula v2,5x ? i not saw for him the firmware in 455 or i'm missing something?
i don't have that version so i cant test it
That "new" FV2.5 is not that "new". It's being sold for over 1 year now and 455 fully supports it with the SW FW 0.3.5.0.
there is nothing typed inside 455 that it supports this, first time i saw that in 456
456 contains SW FW 1.0.2.0. 455 contains 0.3.5.0 so it fully supports the "new" Fv2.5 wheels. woooord...
How are the drivers and firmwares now?
I have a ClubSport DD, ClubSport RS rim and Formula V2.5 with APM. I've read that there are shifting issues with the 2.5, but the firmware number on the rim was 1.x.x.x, mine says it's v47.
Will it work or I should wait until the shifting problem is fixed? I don't have the disconnection issues.
you not need latest if everything works atm
i had some disconnects also with v47
higher problem with this issue is time consuming. because it look like everything is ok but suddenly they may pop up nowhere
I didn't ask about the disconnections, but the shifting issues on the specific rim which was a topic a few pages back (but with some 1.x.x.x firmware version for the rim, which I don't understand, since mine is v47).

the V2 and earlier V2.5 used a different branch of FW up to 47. The newer V2.5 use the 1.x.x.x branch likely due to different internal chips
Strange, because I bought the V2 in this February (with the CS DD). Thanks for the info though.
Does both fw has the issue with the shifting with the recent drivers/firmwares?
the problem is , i not actually see much difference, micro disconnect can also act like miss shift because it loses signal connection what not allows push the button

the thing is, it does not happen in 455 and that matter for us
buffer overrun could also make problems if there is one, it may start affect other functions
even tho its not called miss shift.but it could disrupt that
Maurice, hi!
Is it worth to upgrade 462 to 463 (CS DD)?
If you habe a Bentley GT3 wheel yes. Otherwise no.
I agree with you, but if I remember correctly (maybe I'm wrong here) either in this topic, or in the v462 thread, Maurice confirmed the shifting bug of the Formula wheels to be fixed in a later firmware (it affects other bases, the issue is independent of the CS DD/CS DD+). you can update if you like, no one holds you back. its they fault if something goes wrong, and then you can claim the RMA , refund or whatever
but i know that it may have problems with miss shift, its up to you test that
my 47 is still under warranty, but i to use DD2 so i can roll back to older firmware kind off easy.

The pedal works fine.
I'm using the Mclaren GT3 V2, with the CSL DD
