I don’t have a DD2 so I don’t know if its possible for you upgrade the motor at this point which would then match the base - my question would be why not if it were me
The post by Madog says to downgrade base to a version that matches the motor and then start from there to upgrade both together

Hello everyone, I updated to 463, I have the clubsport dd+, after the update, the steering wheel loses the FFB and crashes, I am forced to restart the base. when do you solve the problem? You can't play like that! How can I go back to 455?

When you still experience disconnections with 463 then it is possible that your base has a hardware issue so it is best to contact the support at this point.

My base has never had this problem with the old versions, how is it possible? I only updated because I saw the update on the site

It is possible because the hardware issue might not have been triggered previously but due to much more data flow because of the Bentley Firmware implementation now it is possible that the issue now came to life.
If you dont want your hardware issue to get repaired under warranty, you can of course rollback to driver 455 and do a manual firmware downgrade as explained in the official driver and firmware instructions, but this wouldnt solve the issue long-term as at some point you will have to update the firmware again to get new wheels compatible with your base. So I would advise you to contact the support to get the faulty base repaired.

I have the Porsche podium steering wheel, can it be that one? Or do you think it's the base? Sorry to ask but everything has worked great so far!!!
On my M4 GT3 steering wheel connected to a CS DD + base I cannot make LEDs work properly in any game. Non of the profile provided for this rim by Maurice work normally LED wise. In ACC for example, when I turn on PIT speed ( and in Fanalab I set all LEDs to Purple color for pitspeed) Only half of them work in "pit speed" mode, then when I turn pitspeed off and on back again, random LEDs light up. I tried setting everything to default and so on, without a success. None of custom LEDs work properly in an active way - they react to flags in a random wrong way and they cannot work as a rev or traction control warning. This Rim is 2 years old and yet there are still troubles with software. Now I heard its a Clubsport DD plus related issue and it does not handle well LEDs. But LEDs reacting to a game is a core function of 1.5k euro BMW steering wheel. Please repair it for the next drivers package. ( a lot of LEDs in this post)....
The other issue is that I and I guess all the Clubsport DD plus owners, still get a slight wheel vibration at any NFR above 5% ( it is also present on 1% NFR but barely perceptible ).

As already explained in another thread: both issues are known Firmware issues to be fixed at some point in the future (not in the next driver package as requested from you, likely not even this year).

The latest evidence shows that you have a bricked DD2 (Don't care how it happened) as the Fan at 100% with Motor and Base FW versions being totally incompatible for a working DD2 as Motor firmware should be updated first then base.
Latest should be for Fanatec Driver v463:
• Podium DD1 / DD2 Base : 3.1.0.7
• Podium DD1 / DD2 Motor : 3.0.0.2
This will complicate matters as you will have to go to a earlier version of Fanatec driver to correct the issue.
Oldest compatible would be Fanatec Driver v336, v400, or v415:
• Podium DD1 / DD2 Base : 686
• Podium DD1 Motor : 40
To get your base working again, uninstall current driver 455, download and install Driver v336, V400 or V415, power-off the base, then hold the power button pressed for 10 seconds while the base is off to start the base in bootloader mode, click flash firmware, done.
Now uninstall driver v336 or v400 or v415, install latest driver v450 (The only one that works for you) or v463 and run the automatic update process by pressing the green update button in the firmware Manager and then you are updated and good to go.
Thank you, and Thank you!! I followed your instructions and I now have a working wheel again on Driver 450😊😁 Although 463 will still not install! Right now I shall ignore that, I'm just happy I have my wheel and need to go play for a bit to get my sanity back...Thanks again and to Allan Lehtla too 😉

Did anyone have the fix for ITM freezing after updating to latest fanalab and fanatec drivers DD extreme user here
ITM Freezes on the GT SW X is a known Firmware issue with this specific wheel (actually it has tons of ITM related issues). They are on the list to get investigated at some point in the future.
Good news so far then, well done, I knew you could do it.
Next I personally would make a Windows System Restore point of the working system, so that when you try other things, you can restore windows back to a known good state with Fanatec driver setup if anything catastrophic happens.
Re: Installing Fanatec Drivers v463 or other versions issue.
No words of wisdom on this one, as I have never had a problem installing Fanatec Drivers before, but have seen others with the issue and no resolution, except that Anti-virus software was deleting parts of the Fanatec drivers as they were created on disk drive during the install, obviously making the install fail part way through.
So with Windows 10 & 11 which uses "Microsoft Defender Anti-Virus", try putting in a exemption (Allowed Threats) for Fanatec Software.
Check that Windows 10 Security -> "Core Isolation" -> "Memory Integrity" is still turned off, some drivers may fail if this is turn on.
Recommend not to use Revo-Uninstaller when removing Fanatec Software.

can I go back to the 455? at least to play in the time that support responds to me
Ciao Niccolo,
In the software discussion for the 457 says: Download link was removed as driver 455 is more stable than 456 and 457 and we are working on a new driver to fix the disconnection issues on 457 which will include the separate firmware versions posted above.
So, download the 455 from the forum as it’s still available.
About downgrade, I have never tried it, so can’t say much. But as you will contact support for a repair worth to give it a try ;)

I saw some other comments relating to missed up and downshifts but am unsure if this has been officially addressed.
I just upgraded my DD2 and ClubSport Formula V2.5 to the new 463 Driver and now I'm experiencing missed up and downshifts (more so on the up-shifts). This has never been a thing before, so I'm assuming it has to do with the new Driver updates.
Is this something else others are experiencing? Is there a fix coming? What's the best course of action to correct this?
If this has already been discussed, could someone direct me to that thread / message (and apologies for a double post)?

Hey, since I've seen there are more people than just me with this issue I decided to make a thread for it where we can share information and possibly find a solution or at least provide more info for fanatec. So if you got same issue - feel free to provide as much information as you can.
Problem Description
Sometimes when I'm shifting gears with Advanced Paddle Module the gear just does not change. It happens like once per 200 gear shifts. May be worth mentioning that this issue does not appear in first ~20 minutes of racing (or maybe it is just a coincidence). The issue started like 1,5 year ago (im not sure if it started after some update or just randomly).
Things i tried to fix issue:
completely replacing my PC (only disk drives left from the old one)
reinstalling everything - drivers, games, etc.
grounding my rig
replacing power supply
updating wheel base drivers
replacing podium hub (APM is connected to it)
unscrewing QR from the base, reconnecting the cables etc
replacing base -> PC USB B -----> USB A cable
removing any hubs between dd1 and PC
changing usb slots (3.0, 2.0 blabla)
I think the issue is related to base (or at least it is not related to the APM directly) because:
i've got a new APM module from fanatec (warranty) - still miss shifting
tried my friend's F1 Wheel, the blue one from PS bundle - still miss shifting (he has also DD1 and doesn't have such problems as me).
I've also got PBME (connected to same podium hub) which also has some "buttons" and i've never ever had any issue that the button click was not recognized.
My wheel + base setup:
DD1
CSV3 (connected to base, but im gonna try connecting it via usb soon - maybe there is some issue)
Podium Hub + PBME + APM
Check my posts in that thread, this is one with firmware newer than 3.0.4.3

Hello,
Thanks for the info! So, with 463 there is an issue with upshift for the APM? Or combination Podium Hub with APM etc.
Thanks again!

Ciao Luca, tu che base hai?? io una clubsport DD+, che problema hai?
Hi Guys
Will we ever get a definite fix for:
The steering input jump issue was greatly improved so the issue happens a lot less than before. Full fix expected for one of the next versions.?
I'm tired of getting these jumps during endurance races ....
Cheers
