The issue with P DD1 PS4 version freezing when switching modes is a different issue and that one was meant with the sentence that it's going to be fixed in one of the next versions.
Is there any other recommended option other than waiting for a fixed version to bring Xbox mode back to DD1 PS4? "Upgrade" to older version? If so, which one and how to do?
Atm the official release on the website is scheduled for end of March due to a critical bug we found during internal testing which makes it no longer possible to launch next week as originally planned. Maybe a beta driver is ready next week but for now that's uncertain.
I have already opened RMA Maurice. And I think you were absolutely right. Because I did some more tests and with Fanalab closed the base, the buttons and funky switches work perfectly and do not make false inputs. So I think it is the data saturation problem that has been discussed here. So thank you very much Maurice!!!
Do the developers still have a handle on the wheel (ffb) disconnect issue on the CS DD(+)? The one which needs a WQR firmware update. This is what is making me nervous.
Thank you. That is the bug that is affecting the viability of the base. Maybe if there is a beta release and that bug thoroughly tested, it can include that fix.
Will the 457 driver have a new updater? One capable of allowing me to flash my wheel with the appropriate HEX file rather than insisting on an EFF file?
Only on CSL DD and GT DD Pro the Steering Wheels get reportes as V0. This does NOT affect any other base. If you see V0 on any other base, then there is a hardware defect on that unit and you need to contact the support.
@Remco: We are very certain that the steering wheel communication freezes will be fixed once and for all on CS DD. There is not a single report of a wheel communication freeze since we started testing the new firmware with the fix 2 weeks ago where previously the freeze would occur after just some minutes. So we are very sure ;)
Not sure if this was answered but just bought DD+ and am on 455 and my wheel freezes up after a few minutes. Does going down to 454 help this or am I stuck until 457 comes out? Or do I have a bigger problem unrelated to the drivers?
@Maurice I know few (maybe only me?) have had steering wheel freezes / disconnects with DD1 + BMW M4 wheel, but it happened several times to me on driver 455. I went back to 454 and to the previous wheel base firmware 3.0.3.6 and i haven't had the issue since.
Whatever the fix is with the steering wheel freeze on CS DD, should that fix the freezes I've had with 455 with my DD1 + BMW M4 wheel combo?
@Simon: No, P DD freezes are completely unrelated and in 99% of the cases a hardware issue. The fix comes with a new QR FW of the CS DD so it can not magically fix issue on any other base.
There most likely will be a public Beta release before the official release scheduled for end of march but idk when this will happen. Could be next week, but could also be the week after.
I think there is a need for a roll back feature to previous driver packages in case this happens again. One that doesn't put the customer at risk if they roll back a driver package or firmware update. I had 455 and only had two disconnect issues with my wheel's FFB and buttons on my DD Extreme but when I updated to 456 it disconnects randomly anywhere from 10 - 40 minutes every time I launch a race in GT7. I would gladly roll back my driver package to 455 if I didn't have to worry about bricking my $1400 wheel base and wheel.
No blame being thrown here, things happen, just looking for a positive solution.

you said yesterday that this is fixed with 456, today you say it will be fixed in one of the next versions...
Please read carefully without mixing things up.
Two different issues.
The Xbox issue is fixed with 456.

In 455 it doesn't register at all, in 456 after a couple tries it connects for like 20 minutes then breaks
I have fixt it. 👍
Now back to 455 and never stop a running system 😉
When is the driver release?

Is it possible to go back to driver 447 with cs dd? And have no problems then?
No.

That will be fixed with driver 457, yes.

Most likely not as it's unknown why it happens for you as nobody else has that issue and cant be reproduced.
It certainly has happened with someone else before, in December, and you specifically responded to the issue.

Hello
With the driver 456 , the problems of disconnection and firmware = 0 is only for CS DD ??? or CSL DD have also this problems ???
thanks
Steering Wheel communication freezes are ONLY happening on CS DD.
Steering Wheel FW V0 is ONLY happening on CSL DD and GT DD Pro.
Steering wheel freezes AND Firmware V0 both happen on DD+.
Nope, thats definitely not the case.

How sure is it that the problem is solved?
Then I have a hardware defect. I guess I'll continue to wait for support to get back to me.

Any chance we can get a beta or hotfix with just the QR firmware fixing this issue?
