Hi Riccardo, to avoid making mistakes, don't load any drivers so you're sure,
I'm joking, I use the 463 and for now everything is fine,
I have a PC but with other Fanatec products, Member from Italy-Piedmont-Turin

Finally felt brave enough to update all firmwares to date, (already done windows driver) and now all the buttons on my CLS P1 V2 are useless in ASM2, keep coming up with totally wrong function. Luckly I have another steering wheel with the SRM emulator so I can use a GT Neo, which works wondefully. I knew I shouldnt of done it. Fanatec still cant be trusted, and was a poor choice on my part, which I regret. I use, sorry, used the P1 for Wreakfeast and ASM2 for older cars. Guess it will have to wait for the next firmware to fix it, or not.
I cant upgrade firmware from this driver, I tried from 463 and the same issue as 464 - stuck on older beta firmware for the wheel and the QR2 is reporting 0.0.0.0. firmware - please help.
I am using the driver 455 and today driving online in RFRO 1000 km and lost the 2.5 Formula steering wheel's buttons/paddles twice. I thought the old drivers would fix it, but looks like it's not enough for me.

You need to downgrade the wheel to firmware 0.3.5.0 that is included in that driver.
would it be possible to customize the selected preset on the led screen of the wheel? instead 1 , 2 , 3 , etc , to have the ability to set 3 caracter or more for each preset ex : arc , sim , etc...
another feature would be great for emulator and old game , the ability to set a custom dead zone (even a negative to fix dead zone problems in old arcade games )?

No, renaming Tuning Menu Setups is not possible and not planned to be made possible.
An adjustable Deadzone was a feature 10 years ago for the old Belt Bases but intentionally removed and not planned to come back for the DD Bases.

Yes sorry, pretty much all the issues here are about the FW version included w a particular driver package. After installing the driver package you need to update or downgrade the FW to match what’s in the driver

Anyone who has those CSL DD issues like FFB not cancelled when entering a game menu or bad side effects of NFR please contact me. We have a firmware export which is supposed to solve it but because those issues are sometimes hard to reliably reproduce it would be great to get feedback from people who have those issues regularly.
Please contact me via personal message.
Helo Marcel,
I've PM'd you regarding this FW export, any chance you can send it to me when you get chance, please ?
I appreciate it, along with the time taken by the team to finally sort this out.
I have a CSL DD 8 Nm with Formula v2.5x steering wheel, driver ver: 451
I use it with Xbox Series X.
When I am playing F1 23, once I set SEN under 720, the wheel has some oscillations (shaking effect), but only when I am driving in straight lines, with high speeds. If I would select SEN to 360 - which I would like to - then steering wheel has the strongest oscillations in straight line.
When turning into corners, oscillations disappear.
I know if I set SEN to 2520, it is okay, but it is too much for me, and not realistic to a Formula 1 car.
Is this issue is fixed in the latest 464, or in any other newer driver than 451?
I just upgraded from a CSL DD to a CS DD and my PBMR with CS Hub worked just fine until I hiiked up the new base. Now the PBMR buttons are mapped incorrectly and/or don't work at all. The buttons on the top of the hub are all mapped correctly and work as they should. Is this a known issue? My McLaren GT3 works fine. I'm going to try removing the PBMR and reconnecting the hub button pods to see if that helps. But I wanted to check if this might be a firmware issue . I'm using 464 and updated the new base and QR before using it.

Civilized and constructive feedback and discussions to help each other.
No offending each other!
If you report a driver or firmware issue, please make cross checks:
Update driver and FW separately to isolate an issue and find out if caused by driver OR firmware.
Which driver OR firmware shows the issue
Which driver OR firmware does not show the issue
Check if you can reproduce the issue again if you go back to the version which seems to have caused the issue
Check if the issue is related to specific settings of for example the tuning menu. Is it happening more or less with a specific setting raised or lowered?
Post the answers gathered from the questions above + a short description of the issue including the following info:

Known Issues
We are aware of missed shifts and button inputs on the P DDs and are investigating
When updating the CS DD base firmware, the wheel might not be detected until performing a restart. This is explained in a pop-up during the update procedure.
When entering a game menu while driving it can happen in some games that the FFB effect doesn't get canceled which results in the wheel turning to one side. (this got now fixed for the Podium DD but can still happen on the CSL DD. We will apply the fix for the CSL DD as well)
Natural friction can start to feel weird after some time of driving. In case you experience issues with NFR, we suggest to turn it OFF for now. (this got now fixed for the Podium DD but can still happen on the CSL DD. We will apply the fix for the CSL DD as well)
Even though the steering input jump which can result in a FFB jolt improved and happens less often, we still reports of the issue and want to investigate for further improvements
Hi Marcel, can u help me please with a bentley wheel that i purchased last week, when i connect to pc for updating with the white cable inside tha pack, begin the update and it stops at 12%, i put the image of error below, i have tried to change usb, manual firmware, but nothing.......i have 464...help meeeee...the wheel works perfectly, is not bricked, but it imposible to update it...when it stops at 12% i have to force to close the app,so that window close and begin to downaload the video for the video part of firmware, after i disconnect the wheel and continue to work...
It has been 3 months since the release of the 464 driver, but we still haven't seen any news about the new 2-in-1 test driver. And the repair of the button box driver is also far away! Developers need to come out and 'argue' about their work efficiency issues!!

It's been a year since they fixed any old bugs. There is tons of problems already with nothing being fixed, just adding new products and releasing hotfixes to make them work. But it will be like that until people stop buying and believing that "it will be fixed with the next firmware release" bullshit.

If I were in Germany, I would mail bombs to the developers of fanatec so that we would have new developers to improve our software experience (seriously)

First, the developers dont decide when to release certain fixes.
Second, the developer mails are private, you cant reach out and mail-bomb them.
Third, mail-bombing would not change anything.
There is a bigger first sustaining driver release planned for this spring (around Easter) which will fix several long-standing issues, especially CS DD and BMR related issues. This will be followed-up with a second bigger sustaining release in early summer to then get another follow-up sustaining release in autumn.
The new Software, which combines the Control Panel and FanaLab, is scheduled for a first open beta release soon. But please note that it will have more issues at initial open beta release than the Control Panel or FanaLab has atm (as the control Panel and the Lab basically are more or less bug-free atm, all issues arise from Firmware and that wont change with the new Software), so dont expect too much from that new Software, it wont fix anything but just give a more modern nicer appearance with both current Softwares combined.
I have a DD+ Extreme kit bought last week, all drivers and firmware up to date and working fine but the problems begin when i want to use it again, when i power on the base is stuck on red ring (PC Mode) , can't change the mode at all and is stuck in Update Mode in Fanatec Control Panel and i have to update the firmware every time i power on the base. After i do the update all is working fine but i have to repeat the process every time i power on the base.
Is not working directly on PS5, every time i have to connect it to PC and update the firmware. I tried using other USB cable, changed ports directly in MB, update the firmware manually and a older version. nothing works. Is there any fix for this at least on a future version of the drivers as i see this is an older problem many people have ?
My Clubsports Steering F1 Wheel was recognised as ClubSport Steering Wheel Formula V2.5 X when connected to PC and launch the fanatec latest 464 firmware. is that normal?

Hi Emanuele, I read a lot of things here in the forum and I don't understand if the 455 or 464 driver is better...
anyway, not putting any driver certainly doesn't create any problems...ahahahaha
455 installed when delivered in june 2024…no problem so far..
I haven't had any problems with the drivers so far, but I think it's time for ass,
it depends on how much ass you have in life, so install what you want and
then go to church to pray, I'm always joking, have a nice day.

Bummer. Maybe someday I'll be able to use it again.
At least reinstalling the hub's button pods worked.
Thanks for the info.
