  • Hey! is it possible to turn of the ITM Display on the podium dd1 wheelbase?

I bought a DDU and now I basically have a double display

    THX

  • Thanks, but I want to turn it off completely (black). Is that possible?

  • On latest update itm on dd extreme freezes and does not come back unless restarting the wheel

Thats a general firmware issue of the CS DD / GT DD X combo unrelated to FanaLab.

  • I 'm having a weird issue with Fanalab and the V3 pedals in EA WRC.

In-game I have set the Brake Pedal Vibration to 0 and have enabled in Fanalab the vibration based on wheel locking. However, the brake pedal vibrates the moment it detects any input and not only on wheel lock. Of course BLI is set to OFF.

On the contrary, the throttle pedal vibration works as it should, e.g. vibrates on wheel slip correctly.

    Anyone faced a similar issue?

  • I think, I had a similar issue the other day with Fanalab 2.01.54 with the DD+ and CS V3 pedals on driver 462 and its respective firmwares:

The vibration on gas and brake were triggered as they should on locking wheels or tyre slip, but the vibration often times didnˋt get „un“triggered and stayed on until the next locking or slipping situation when the vibration was triggered again.

Had this in iRacing and rFactor2, but didnˋt have enough play time since then to really verify, if it still occurs after restarting PC and base, actually.

  • Hello

On my M4 GT3 wheel ( with CS DD plus base) I cannot make LEDs work properly in any game. Non of the profile provided for this rim by Maurice work well after update, LED wise. In ACC when I turn on PIT speed ( and in Fanalab I set all LEDs to Purple color for pitspeed) Only half of them work in "pit speed" mode, then when I turn pitspeed off and on back again, random LEDs light up. I tried setting everything to default and so on, without a success. None of custom LEDs work properly in an active way - they react to flags in a random wrong way and they cannot work as a rev or traction control warning. This Rim is 2 years old and yet there are still troubles with software. Anyone have the same issues ? Regards!

  • Thats a general firmware issue of the CS DD Base which atm can not handle Button LEDs well.

  • I see. Thanks for the info.

By the way, the NFR value set to 5 and constant little vibration on idle is still present on this base.

Jup, another known firmware issue, unrelated to FanaLab.

  • Why does my ITM not work on my endurance porsche wheel

    Firmware done 28 okt

    Driver newest 28 okt

    Fanalab 28 okt

    Accetto corsa competizione no ITM

    It shows no value.s

Also my ffb while driving gone .

I wish i didnt updated everything

    What could be wrong ?

    Hi Maurice

So I had the DD+ base less them a year, but in that time, I have had some random wheel disconnects. Not a physical disconnect, rather an electronic disconnection between the wheel and the base. Disconnects happened while using a Formula v2.5 wheel.

Just driving along in iRacing GT4 and GT3 sessions and the wheel will suddenly disconnect . I can still steer, but that is it. Force feedback is gone and no buttons on the wheel work. The base also has a real “notchy” feeling when the disconnect occurs. The only thing on the wheel display is the “F” logo.

On older drivers I need to restart the wheel base back normal, yesterday I installed the RC 463 driver and I notice, the problem is there but after small second the wheel starts working again without do anything

I think I had note, this just happen when I turn the wheel to right side, and more then 90°

My question is, This is a hardware problem, or a drive problem, or a fanalab problem

    Thanks 🙏

  • This sounds like your base has a hardware issue and you should contact the support.

  • Jup, thats a hardware connection issue, totally unrelated to FanaLab.

  • in less one year this is my second dd+ base, this time I won’t had no lucky with this fanatec base

I had friend mine, he had exact the same problem

i had open a ticket for support

  • I have issues with Fanalab 2.01.54 locking up and / or completely shutting down whilst racing in Assetto Corsa (Original) resulting in the loss of my custom RPM LED's (F1 Wheel rim shows stuck static LED's , GEAR number or Speed most likely due to loss of Telemetry data).

Currently running Fanatec Driver v463 with:

    • Podium DD1 / DD2 Base               : 3.1.0.7 (NEW)

    • Podium DD1 / DD2 Motor            : 3.0.0.2

    • Podium DD1 / DD2 WQR               : 7 (QR2)

    • CS SW Formula V2(X), V2.5(X)       : 47 (QR2)

Testing with Assetto Corsa 1.16 / Content Manager / Custom Shader Patch combo, setup a quick race and allow AI to drive my car for a few laps why I observe LED's on my F1 v2 steering wheel to see when they stop registering correctly, 3 Laps later they stop working, Fanalab has either become non responsive or has been completely removed from memory.

Last time my gear all worked together properly was with Assetto Corsa and Fanatec 1.69.x was with Fanatec Drivers v448 - v451 and their Firmware iterations, I could alt-tab out of game to Fanalab, change LED RPM Ranges and Alt-Tab back into game and retest until it was spot on, never once did Fanalab crash or unload from memory in setting up 150 - 200 car profiles in AC and doing multiple laps with each.

When I updated those same Fanalab profiles to the new formats of 2.x.x or there abouts and Fanatec Drivers to v455 till now with v463 I repeated the same type of testing, often alt-tabbing in and out of AC and Fanalab and then doing some laps with the car, only to find that Fanalab was becoming unresponsive and unloading from memory very quickly and very consistently.

So I am at a loss and have attached my Fanalab logs so someone might be able to figure it out.

  • Well I think I finally fixed it, I can pit and alt-tab in and out of game and Fanalab as before with out it crashing out.

Problem was Fanalab doing some strange stuff, found errors in the Windows -> Program event logs, showing Fanalab causing unhandled exception errors, out of memory errors, .NET issues and windows was terminating the errant program.

The only clue I had was monitoring Fanalabs CPU usage and Memory Usage, when running normally with Assetto Corsa, it only uses 1-2% of CPU and approx 230-280MB of ram with a light power usage, however when I return to the pits in AC and then back out onto the track, Fanalab would instantly start increasing its memory usage by about 2-5MB/Second until it reached around 1.25GB and then its CPU usage shot up to 20% and triggered a "Very High" power usage and immediately Windows terminated the Fanalab process.

    Solution was:

    1) Backup up all of my Fanalab profiles and settings.

    2) Uninstalled Fanalab and deleted all left over related folders and files.

    c:\Program Files (x86)\Fanatec\

    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab\

    3) Removed the complete "Endor -> PodiumSuite" Fanalab related section held in the windows registry and then rebooted the computer.

    4) Installed Fanalab 2.01.54 and bit by bit rebuilt the Setup and XML folders with my backup copies of profiles and config files, tested at several stages with Assetto Corsa and Fanalab was now keeping its CPU usage at 1-2%, RAM usage at 230-280MB and Low Power usage at all times not matter how many times I pitted or Alt-Tabbed between AC and Fanalab.

Took hours / Days of trying to find this (Yep I am getting old and slow ;-)), so I hope it may help others if they come across this issue.

  • Any reason why I cant get dallara p217 led lights to match on this update or am I doing something wrong.

  • edited October 30

Dont know as you didnt showed your LED settings and explained what you are doing so nobody can tell you if you are doing something wrong...

  • I Don't know either it appears to be working now. sometimes the profiles just don't seem to load.

  • Hi I hope some one can help, since updating if I'm in say dirt rally , come out the game and go into acc my game profiles do no automatically swap over, they used to, and I have to close fanalab to enable me to load the game profiles I'm playing

Does not matter which game I start with it just won't auto load

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks

  • Question - Will we get the ability in future fanalabs to have buttons light up for example when a car is on your right or on your left and things like this? This is one thing I really enjoy when I use my CSX3 wheel rim through Sim Hub but with my Fanatec M4 GT3 wheel rim I cannot.

    Just curious, thanks.

  • Not planned anytime soon but on the list for sometime in the future.

  • Your not giving us a lot to go on, you will have to do some detective work, firstly why do you have to close fanalab to load another profile, has it crashed, frozen and just not responsive so you can't load any new profile from anywhere.

1: What Fanatec equipment do you have ?

2: Is Fanalab running as soon as Windows boots up, what version of Fanalab do you use, what Version of Fanatec driver package do you use, What firmware versions do you have on you wheel base and steering Wheel, etc, etc.

2: Do you run the game from the main Fanalab window or from Steam or some other shortcut icon ?

3: With in Fanalab main game menu icons, are they running the game from STEAM ID or EXE mode ?

4: In each game they don't load a Favorited profile or any Car specific profile by CDALP (CAR ID) ?

5: Use Fanalabs logs and telemetry monitoring under the Settings menu (Top Right of screen) to see if it is parsing CARID or any telemetry at all when game is running and you are in the car ready to race, then Alt-Tab to Fanalab.

6: In each of Fanalabs game profiles, active the 2 green bars (Enable Telemetry and Led Hardware support) if no telemetry data being seen.

7: Look at the Fanalab logs to see if any hints in them.

  • Hi Maurice, in the past you were very helpful to me by solving the problem, now another one has arisen. The steering wheel practically doesn't recognize anymore. Even if you can see from the image in the settings it only recognizes the DD base. I would add, I uninstalled and cleaned the system registry, I deleted the contents of the AppData folder, I reinstalled everything but the problem persists.

If i don't start Fanalab the steering wheel works correctly.

How can I solve it? Thank you
