My knowledge didn't come from a 2 second web page scrape, I'm already familiar with the ECC which is why I pointed this out to you - but that webpage alone should tell YOU what you need to know - that they are set up to help EU residents and that you as a US resident will need to seek help elsewhere. I've complained on this forum about Fanatec's incompetence for a long time - many years. I've insisted that the company needs to change for many years. I've also pointed out that many people threaten legal action but very few ever follow up on that threat. I'm afraid I believe you are no different.
I do think that you should take means to recover your loss but that only needs you to instigate a CC chargeback. You should do that.
By all means take legal action if you are minded to - but you have started with a misstep if you honestly believe that the ECC is the right forum for that - they can't help you as you are outside Europe. You need to employ US based advocacy experienced of working internationally. Free advice right there. :-)
