hi everyone, i've started to spend more time on iracing and am considering using irffb as i've heard good things about it. i was wondering if anyone was using it on here?
maurice, i assume your profiles are designed for the standard iracing ffb?
RAR is a compressed file like Zip so you have to extract the files first. Using either WinRAR or 7zip that i mentioned. Once you do that then you can import the files through Fanalab.
many thanks again from me for all the work and very good settings for the DD2! had already tested a lot of settings from YT etc. but your settings are my favorites so far 😎
Random question regarding settings, Is there anyway to remove the crazy oscillation you get in IRacing if and when you need to take your hands off the wheel, for example a spin or wreck or just at times even pit speed to grab a drink. What happens after a spin or a crash, even when the vehicle is completely stopped, is the wheel rim violently shakes left to right at max velocity making it impossible to grab the wheel again and then you are left to hit the kill switch deeming that session pretty much useless.
I had my girlfriend try out the rig and nearly broke her hand 😬 Cheers
that's iRacings FFB, nothing you can do about unfortunately. iRacing is the only game where you really have to put your hands of the wheel while crashing.
Believe it or not that makes in worse in iRacing but turning overall FFB makes it less violent. It seems like such a simple fix iracing could implement and should be integrated with their “reduce force while standing” setting
I just have to repeat, many thanks for your profiles! Which leads to my next question:
Any chance, that you have tried the V8 Supercars Ford Mustang at iRacing in the past? Is your profile for the Holden comparable regarding the FFB settings? I believe I could do the LED settingy by myself, but especially with all that DD base settings I'm a bit lost....
kay, in case it helps, i generally like a heavy feel on the wheel but found maurice's 488 GT3 on the heavy side too (DD1). i reduced overall FF strength down in fanalab to 80% which works well for me. i would just adjust the FF in fanalab down until you find the right strength, you shouldn't lose any of the details by doing that unless you reduce it drastically.
i also played around with the iracing FF settings but preferred the feel with just reducing fanalab FF.
For me, it's the opposite: Tried to adjust the Fanalab settings, but after all I'm a lot more satisfied with simple/small adjustments at iRacing. As some of Maurice's profiles feel just a little to soft for me, the 488 is a monster. So usually I just reduce/increase the "Max Force" setting at iRacing a little from what the Fanalab profile name suggests me to dial in....
@Maurice - I've been using your profiles for a few months and they are fantastic! Thank you! Is there any science to how you tune each vehicle? They all seem to be about the same baseline. I main AMS2 F1 cars and am trying to create a good setting. Any tips?
may I ask if your DD2 profile settings are fine with Fanalab 1.54.3 beta together with Fanatec driver package 4.01 or there are any updates to the settings necessary?
May I ask as well what's the reason for FFB (0.75) and steering ratio (17) tweaking for the Ferrari's 488?
good to know, thanks austen. i'll stick with fanalab for now then as i find the ffb through iracing + fanalab to be pretty solid, just wanted to check i wasn't missing something tha was a lot better!
I have a brand new DD1 with the Formular V2 wheel and I have severe problems with a oscilating wheel in ACC only when no steering input is applies. So that means that the wheel is shaking like mad when i go straight and take my hands of the wheel.
Do you have and Fanalabs recommendations to avoid this?
I bought this Fanatec Gear inparticular for ACC and now I cant enjoy the game at all. In other sims like AC and AMS2 the base works just fine.

Those are WinRAR files so download that. Personally I use 7zip for all compressed files.
Thank you winRAR worked for me
I kinda remember reading about Fanalab does up the iRacing FFB bit rate like irffb but better since it doesn’t have a delay like irffb does.

Thank you I wasn’t sure if anyone had come up with a setting to prevent this. I may revisit IRFFB and see if that still occurs
I think turning down the FEI will help, but you'll also lose the details from FFB. It's a compromise.

reducing FEI will actually make oscillations worse!
Yes that's the better option.

Hi Maurice, are 1.54 profiles DD1 still compatible with new 399 Driver and firmwares? Thanks
Yes :)
Thanks mate much appreciated :-)
Hey Guys, have anybody a Lambo GT3 Profile for 2.5 Base? Thanks
fantastic work! any chance of getting profiles for the 3 stock car classes? pretty please :)
Hi Austen, can you please share how you do the calculation?
I'm loving Maurice's profiles. Big thank you to you Maurice :)
But couple of the cars im finding it hard to deal with the FFB when turning as well bumps and curbs just feels a bit too much for me.
Fore Example Ferrari 488 GT3, im currently testing on Summit Point track its a bit too difficult to handle.
Any help or advice where to tune the settings with out loosing much of the feel is greatly appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

I've message you the details. It's a bit long 😅
That's interesting...

all about personal taste i guess!
Thank you Simon, this is what im testing now.

Servus and hello Maurice,
concerning ACC
Thank you very much and greetings, Peter

Go to page 10 and look for FanaLab 1.54 DD1 profiles. You'll find ACC profiles in the rar file.
