Out of curiosity, what is it that requires a firmware and driver update? Today, a profile can be manually created and a custom game profile creates. Given that it is not a question of new Fanatec HW, would it be possible to simply provide a profile that can be downloaded and imported into fanalab under a custom game?
There were changes made to the Tuning Menu which require a matching driver and firmware to not get different things in FanaLab vs. on the wheel or in the Driver UI.
Also its unclear if the initial implemenation of the game directly has recommended FFB settings profile included. They depent on Forum settings and Forum settings arent done yet so nothing which FanaLab could implement yet. Therefore its not as easy as just to provide a profile ;)
Maurice have you considered uploading your profile pack ok another site (like Race Department) and just liking it here when it's updated? Would make things much simpler.
I've just started playing rF2 since the LFM support and am using your profile and readme as a FFB config as a starting point, however i don't own the BMW M8 that you made a profile for so I can't test it and see what the rF2 FFB is "supposed" to feel like with your profile. I've just been adjusting the per-car FFB multiplier to get the FFB to something that isn't too strong. While the FFB in rF2 does feel very good, it's also a bit grainy/coggy. Do you have any tips for tuning using your profile as a baseline?
I do not use USB hub. I raised this topic here as I did not have this issue before. When I was using just the Fanatec controller, everything worked fine.
Later, I installed FanLab and started switching profiles, and an issue appeared. _/(-_-)\_
Do you use other input devices like game controllers, USB pedals or else in parallel to the Fanatec base? In this case it could be that the order of them getting started changes the order Windows lists them for the game.
Like Maurice said FanaLab does nothing to the general detection of the device or registering the inputs.
been using my DD2 with fanalab for a very long time, including the newest fanalab and driver. As of two nights ago, fanalab loads, kind -of. It doesn’t appear on the desktop but I see it when I ALT-Tab through open windows. I can’t gain access to it. Anyone else having issues?
Do you sometimes have an additional Monitor connected and currently not? Could be that Windows still wants to display it on the monitor which is now not conected anymore.
In this case there are two ways which might help to bring it back
Option1: replug the monitor which was conneted before
Option2: Button combination
Click on FanaLab in the task bar so its the active window
Hold windows key
Press an arrow key again and again to try and move the window back to your main monitor
Option3: Another button combination
Click on FanaLab in the task bar so its the active window
press CTRL + Spacebar
press M for move (might be different in another language than english)
use arrow keys to move the window or click and hold mouse button and move the window by that.
It's with great envy I read that your profiles are only for the DD-type wheels and not for my CSL Elite with the Xbox universal hub. But I should be able to make my own profile, with the leds and everything, save it with the buttons checked and then load it back. But no leds are happening. Not in AC, ACC or AMS2. I press the two green buttons and are told to turn off the in-game controller but to no use. I believe I have tried everything, read every page, downloaded the newest drivers and versions of everything. It's like it's not registering me loading in the profiles? Is there still a small thing I have missed? Thanks for any tips.
My pedals are "Not available" and my game profile is missing Brake Force (BRF) which is annoying because I use different settings in iRacing and ACC. I'm on a Clubsport v2.5 wheelbase and CSL Elite pedals with Load Cell, plugged into the wheelbase. On the Fanalab main page, teh CSL Elite Load Cell Kit pedals are fully recognized.
My CSL Elite Steering Wheel P1 for Playstation is also "Not available" on the Game Profile.
Apologies if this is somewhere else, I couldn't find it through search.
Did you saved the profile? Make sure to not use the recommended profile as you can not overwrite it. Only with a custom profile rhe devices will be shown properly in the preview, the preview for a recommended profile will ALWAYS show "not available" for Steering Wheel and Pedals.
Has Fanalab been superseded by the Fanatec Control Panel? I have tried installing Fanalab x86 v1.66 and nothing happens, though I do have the fanatec control panel on my desktop.......

I dont give any dates anymore. But at least next version should still be this year.

or, is there an added benefit?

why are all of your downloads broken? Not just this version of fanalabs, but every forum attachment, every other version of fanalabs, everything.
Most likely because their whole forum and webshop crashed yesterday.

Is this for dd1?
Thanks.
First: These profiles are outdated. Most recent ones are on page 4.
Second: Yes, but you need to do some maths to calculate the FFB strength to fit DD1 power. All explained in included readme files.
Hey! I believe the issue I face is related to Fan Lab.
Every time I close Fan Lab or restart my PC, the next time I launch ACC or AMS2, I have to calibrate my wheel and pedals once again (in-game).
The settings remain intact, but they just do not work, I have to set up axes, buttons, pedals etc.
If I do not close Fan Lab, on each game launch it does not reset my wheel.
I have DD1, McLaren wheel and ClubSport Pedals V3 inverted pedals.
Did anyone encounter the same issue?
FanaLab has nothing to do with in game button bindings.
This sounds like Windows is mixing up the USB IDs on every restart. Typically this is caused by using a USB Hub.
So if you use a Hub, then stop using the Hub and directly plug the base USB cable into the Mainboard.
Oki, thank you for the confirmation.
I do not use USB hub. I raised this topic here as I did not have this issue before. When I was using just the Fanatec controller, everything worked fine.

Can you uninstall FanaLab to double check?

My profiles only contain RGB LEDs for LEDs of Steering Wheels, not for non-RGB LEDs of a CSL Elite Base.
So there is nothing in my profiles which you can load with your config, sorry.
Hi all,
I don't know if this the right place to post, FANALAB doesn't detect my pedals (Clubsport V2) which are plug via USB to my PC.
And there I can't acces to a menu to add it manually. Do you know a way to detect my pedals or its have to be connected directly to the wheel base ?
Thanks for your help
Which Driver are you using?
Are the pedals properly recognized by the Fanatec Control Panel?
Yes their are recognized but no fimware are found. My driver is the 691 package
That worked. Thank you!!
So ? an idea ?
I think the pedals use too old electronics and are recognized as a normal Analogue pedal set and Fanalab does not support them. Nothing you can do.
My pedals are "Not available" and my game profile is missing Brake Force (BRF) which is annoying because I use different settings in iRacing and ACC. Thank you, Maurice, that was my issue.
Is there a Fanalab API that could be used to pull data into Simhub? eg active profile, current wheel settings?
No.
