I updated everything including my CSLv3 Pedals, DD1, and everything else. Again, in order for my Fanatec Sequential/7Speed to be mapped to my Podium Paddle Shifters, I have to load up Fanatec Control Panel and toggle it. It doesnt stay saved between PC reboots, and doesnt load with FanaLab. (Ive tried to toggle it/enable and then resave my profile many times, but it doesnt work.)
While my Pedals wont vibrate when I hit the test buttons, they will vibrate when going past my set braking force.
Just an update from my post in the previous driver thread.
That said, I can say my DD1 - FEELS - better than it did before, especially in games that used to have crappier FFB feel to them. Ive been able to really dial in all the major games very nicely, and the DD1 feels fantastic.
Hi Ryan, the seq/padde shifter issue we've tried to reproduce with different PCs, bases and shifters but could not re-create the issue you are describing. In our case with any restart of base, PC or both the setting is saved properly.
The pedal vibration I could reproduce, the new UI won't vibrate when a BLI percentage is set while the old UI will. We'll have a look.
Thanks for the feedback regarding the improved feel.
I have encountered a bug with the new update. when I tried to raise the FFB on the wheel (from 40 to 50) I realized that it had no effect. To be able to upload it and for it to take effect, you have to change your profile and then return to the profile you wanted to upload. dd1 with bmw gt2 I have high torque and working perfectly. now the calibration of the steering wheel is correct and it stops in the center
CSL DD + BMW GT2 ghost input issue still not fully fixed, but definitely better after this update. I was having constant ghost inputs, ~every third press of funky switch. Its now happening rarely, every 100th press or so, sometimes none at all.
At present when I turn on my csl elite PS5 the display on the V2 wheel is wrong looks scrabbled then once wheel goes through its testing it back to normal I will redo firmware as a test to see if it's a big or just a one off thing

seems like there is still no option to set the ffb higher than 100 % for csl dd? I think it was planned for this driver update? :-(
Even if xbox player are only a small target group, i would wish to have that option. Because of the weak ffb signal of acc on xbox its unplayable.
505 games isn't doing anything about the problem so far.
Hope to have option then with the next driver update... :-/
Hi Sönke,
I understand the request but I am not sure if Fanatec could or should do that. Think about a CD record: If a track on a CD is not loud enough, it is impossible for the vendor of your HiFi Amp to allow it to work on 2x the volume. Even if that would be possible, there is high risk for the hardware and for all other "CDs" (games) which do not suffer from this issue.
This is just something which should not be corrected in the FW of such a HW device.

DD2 here, there's something wrong with the UI on shifter calibration, the indication on the UI is different from what the base asks, and you need to respect what the base asks otherwise the calibration will be wrong.
Another thing, I've never had issues with missing inputs or connection losses, but yesterday while on ACC, for some reason the wheel display and LEDs were working but all buttons suddenly were dead, all I did was remove the wheel and put it back in and everything got back working, this happened with a FV2.
Hm, was fine when I've tried with the Formula V2 on the P DD, both gear number instructions were matching. I only know that they can get out of sync if you start the calibration in the UI but progress to do the calibration on the wheel instead of the UI where it was started.

Hello Maurice, I just investigate the problem. Because I’m facing low torque issue with BMW GT2 rim I have rolled back to 402 drivers and 684 fw. After rolled back fw I installed 415 drivers again but without updating the fw. Then the WQR fw is show 0 value but the comment is that the wqr fw is up to date.
So the problem with WQR 0 occure when installed 415 drivers and old 684 fw.
When Installed is 402 drivers and 684fw the WQR showing correct v6.
When installed 415 drivers and 686fw also WQR showing correct V6 version. But in this case the low torque issue is persist with BMW wheel.
can you also upload Fanalab 1.54 for 402 drivers because when installed 684 fw and 415 drivers then fanalab don’t recognise the wheel base and not working properly.
thank you!
I've re-uploaded FanaLab 1.54 now as the previous file didn't work anymore.

DD1 PS4 with CSW V3, handbrake and shifter and driver 423, all firmwares updated.
When I want to manually calibrate the pedals, I only get min-max buttons for the 3 pedals, not the handbrake.
I did have those min/max buttons of the handbrake in version 415.
handbrake is plugged in via base or CSP V3? The calibration of the handbrake only works if its plugged in via the pedals. We are looking into if we can add this function also tho when the handbrake is plugged into the base.

Can confirm with the new FW for the CSL DD I still have the random button activations even in the control panel with the BMW GT2 wheel, therefore the dpad function is only available in the setup menu, not even in the control panel. Also I can't get out of the setup menu once entered.
The loss of dpad function in the control panel and in game is not limited to the BMW GT2 wheel, my old P1 also loses its dpad functionality.
Had to roll back because I need the dpad for the pit stop menu in game, so I guess I will be stuck with the P1.
Does the P1 wheel looses the function always or just if you attach it after the issue is already present with the BMW without a restart in between both wheels?

This has happened too many times since updating yesterday for it to be a coincidence. This never happened with 415 or any other version.
DD2, Clubsport Formula V2. Updated to the latest firmware and drivers, rebooted, calibrated, no errors to report.
Racing in ACC. I have Pause configured to use button 11 on the Formula V2.
Middle of a race and all of a sudden Pause/button 11 stops working. Exit out of the game, open Fanatec wheel properties, and all of the buttons and paddles respond except for button 11.
Two ways to get button 11 working again. Switch to Comp v2.5 mode and back to PC mode, or power cycle the DD2.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
If I pause ACC with the keyboard, go into Controls and reassign pause to a different button, the new button assignment works and I can continue racing.
If I exit ACC, open rFactor 2 or any other game, prior to opening Wheel Properties button 11 doesn't work in that game.
No other button functions are assigned to button 11, just Pause.
It's like mid-race button 11 gets disabled and cycling the DD2 is the only way to get it to respond.
also re-attaching the Fomula V2 didn't bring the function of the button back?

As Fanatec can not reproduce this low torque issue, are not willing to take up customers offers to test with their problematic hardware and have not solved this problem in over 3 months why do I get the feeling this issue is not been taken seriously enough..? All we read is it effects a low amount of users and it can not be reproduced however we are trying our best to fix it bla bla bla.. What is their best effort..?
To me there seems to be quite a few users reports of this issue & secondly if you can not reproduce this issue and are not willing to take up customer offers what is really the plan to fix this problem..?
It sure would be nice to know what is actually being done to rectify this issue rather than reading generic responses and this is nothing against Maurice & Co. Like others that have spent close to $10K with this company I think that 'somewhat' entitles us to little more information that what is currently been provided..
Good point, I'm already waiting for a wheel of a customer which has two F1 Esports but the issue only happened with one of them. If someone else is interested in sending us his hardware for analysis we can arrange it. Preferable from Germany because of the quicker shipping.

Does the P1 wheel looses the function always or just if you attach it after the issue is already present with the BMW without a restart in between both wheels?
Most likely after the issue was already present with the BMW wheel. I will try again this evening and reinstall 4.23+firmware to check and report back.
Updated DD2 base and motor firmwares from 415. Only slight minor issue was after calibration of motor and reattach my Formula V2 wheel, complete centering, after I reattached my Xbox series x, I couldn’t set Xbox mode. It only toggled between PC and compatible mode.
I powered off the base, and on restart I could set Xbox mode. That was the only issue I had.
The fan was running full on the base after the motor update but before calibration.
I had only a chance to test the updated motor and base firmware in one 25% race in F1 2021 but there’s huge difference in the feedback. I found over a second up at the Red Bull ring online Qualifying and race so I wasn’t pushing excessively but there’s a remarkable improvement.
I also found 3 higher maximum rotation values past 2250 now in new firmware and this also helps immensely with the broken wheel rotation angle bug in F1 2021.
The 3 additional angles do increase in F1 2021 the rotation and that’s another great addition in this update.

Is there any reports of problems with the right paddle shifter in combination with the ghost buttons ?
My works a couple of times then it’s dead, if I remove and install the wheel it works again for about 10 shifts.
I’m beginning to believe that it’s two separate problems ?
But my biggest problem is that tuningmenu opens and I’m stuck there if I use the funky switch.

Alright, your suspicion was correct, I just updated again to 4.23 and FW 1.0.4.2, this time with the P1 mounted when updating the firmware. The P1 behaved perfectly normal. So I changed to the BMW wheel again, and this time the dpad function and the button worked fine, too! Also I couldn't reproduce getting stuck in the setup menu on the wheel, although navigating is a bit cumbersome as the dpad left/right happen to register often two or three times, but it looks like this is limited to the setup menu, in the steering wheel display of the driver it looks fine. The random button issue is still not perfect, but way better than yesterday.
I did several tests to try finding a pattern to get to the state I encountered yesterday, power up with the BMW wheel attached, changing modes and what not, I was not able to reproduce the situation whatsoever. While this won't help you much in debugging, I'm kind of relieved the problem did not reoccur.

Not sure if there was a reply to this, for me it seems to happen if you turn on the wheel base and don't touch it for a few minutes. So maybe something for you to try?
If you activate high torque mode right away, it's not been an issue.

Is the rumble working with the test button in the driver?
Do you use a rumble feature of a game, FanaLab or the BLI setting?
Using CSW base 2.5 with UH (not Xbox)PC Driver 423, FW 687 WBM 22...In the previous Driver, the throttle and brake rumble worked with the test button in the driver, now with driver v423 the rumble for both TH+BR are not working. Not using FanaLab or FanaLeds!

Does the update work with a previous driver or maybe after re-installing the new one?

Hi Ryan, the seq/padde shifter issue we've tried to reproduce with different PCs, bases and shifters but could not re-create the issue you are describing. In our case with any restart of base, PC or both the setting is saved properly.
The pedal vibration I could reproduce, the new UI won't vibrate when a BLI percentage is set while the old UI will. We'll have a look.
