I was terrified something was wrong with my base, bcs while driving/racing I could feel that little gap when FFB changed direction, just tiny little clicks when FFB shifted from one direction to another.
I have read somewhere else that this motor sensor calibration could be doing that kind of an issue, and it really did. I have just erased motor calibration and the clicks were gone.
And also DELETE FANALAB if u have it, I have given it multiple chances and it's just messing up with your wheel!
Something isn't working well with one another, and It would be great that they try to fix that. I kinda got the feeling that Fanatec properties page is interfering with Fanalab and it's just messed up.
Thanks, we could reproduce and fix the issue, we've recognized that it happens with FF, FOR, SPR, DPR and FEI. New version including the fix will come soon.
Thank you very much for your help!!. Very thankful. I had to open RMA and Fanatec has just sent me what you comment. I will try it when I get home and I will comment on the results. Rare is that no one from fanatec has commented on it here. It would have saved me a lot of steps. Thank you again very much !!! Greetings
If the update is also not working with a driver where it previously worked then there might be an issue with the wheel or the connection with the base and in that case it would be best to contact support.
Improved cogging compensation to remove sticky feeling on direction changes. Especially people which liked to erase the calibration should give this a try.
Fixed slight vibration/oscillation when resting wheel in specific positions.
Devicemodule executed and everything working perfectly at the moment !! :) TO CONGRATULATE LUZ AND SARA FROM THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT WHO HAVE BEEN SUPER KIND AND ATTENTIVE AT ALL TIMES !!!. If there is any change, I will comment here. It worked the first time and without problems following the steps exactly recommended to me. Thanks!!!
Thanks Marcel. The last motor firmware 41 was an improvement and this improved '41a?' is improved again. DD2 with club sports v2 formula wheel.
Any idea when we will see a final release, and will the final driver update all the components automatically? We have already now got 41a motor firmware and 687a for the base.
I did that already last night. Ffb-strenght difference calibrated vs. uncalibrated is the same as 41.
Small subtle details in road texture or tire grip change feel a bit more pronounced calibrated. That might be because they are not masked by higher forces. Uncalibrated on the other hand feels more connected and firm.
Until now I don't even know which one I like more. I still tend to uncalibrated but that's probably because I'm used to it ;-)
Regarding the sticky feeling around center with a calibrated motor, that’s reduced to point I could live with.
With the 41A engine erasing the calibration I have noticed an improvement compared to the 41 engine. Even so I think that now the sensations are weaker than with the 40 engine ... the concuction is much smoother ... but when it comes to picking up a piano or a bump ... I notice ... but something less. I like the smoothness it has now ... but the best thing would be this smoothness of the 41A engine with the aggressiveness of showing the sensations of the 40 engine ... I don't know if I explain it hehe
DD1 PS4, Podium hub, latest firmware plus Fanalab with Maurice's profiles
iRacing - 991 GT3R @ Spa and 911 RSR @ Sebring
V41a with calibration feels very connected, when there's a reasonable amount of steering angle and force (e.g. through Eau Rouge). Any harsh bumbs are not that aggressive through Turn 1 at Sebring, but still spot on. However for me there is a huge FFB deadzone at neutral steering angle. This is only in regard of FFB, not the steering input, means I've spun out at nearly every wide corner as soon as I accelerate due to the missing feedback. On straights, FFB feels absolutely disconnected, feels like wheelbase is shut off. As soon as there is a higher steering angle (10-15° estimated?!), FFB returns.
V41a after erased calibration is better, but over the original V41 I've seen occasional spikes in FFB, similar to the known jolts, but this time sim/track-related. It just feels like the FFB calculation is over-reacting and amplifying a simulated bumb to max FFB. I've never seen this with the current "official" firmware V41.
I guess, I'll stay with the erased motor calibration, although especially at Sebring this gives me a quite aggressive impression of a nervous wheel. With motor calibration, the FFB feels way too numb in comparison and the deadzone is a no-go for me.
After upgrading the Firmware with my Fanatec Clubsport Formula V2 connected, my Formula V2 disconnects/reboots randomly in games, often when i push the buttons fast or many buttons at once. Turning left and right is possible during that, but the shifters and other buttons don´t work during the process.
I had the same problem. I had an Arduino connected to this computer at the same time. After I disconnect it, the update function worked. Maybe you also connected another Serial to USB converter. then disconnect this. I didn't have this problem with the 415 driver.
Formula v2 and v2.5x are identical, only diff in 2.5x is magnetic shifters. So the UI shows the correct wheel as it cant differentiate between v2 and v2.5x
Hello, please can you tell me In wich folder I have to put in the file to correct the low torque of my BMW wheel on DD1? Thanks in Advance for your help!

You need to manually flash the firmware as described in the driver manual which comes with every driver download.
In the firmware Manager check the box for Manual Update, then click manual wheel base update, click the three dots to search the new Firmware hex file, click flash.
It would be nice if the upper paddles of the APM could be default mapped to the turn signals. Presently there isn't enough buttons on the BME to map them and we use them in GT sport to communicate.
just to know if its just me.. my handbrake stop work! its drivers related? only notice now in asseto corsa, dont even bind the axis.
i have this last beta drivers and firmware.
i think worked already with this verison, but maybe before this update... let me know if its the problem, and how i revert back driver and firmware if need.

Yes. Porsche GT3R and PBME
Hi to confirm, I have exactly the same problem in GT Sport after upgrading the wheel to the Porsche GT3 with endurance buttom module. best regards .
I have a fresh install of windows and my games. I need the Fanatec drivers. Where are they?
In the first post on page 1 of this thread.

I had the same problem with a previous driver. I found something called DeviceModuleBootLoader and ran that which fixed my BPME.

We know the issue and are working on it.

Let us know if it worked, then I'll know it also for next time when someone is having a similar issue.
Here is a test firmware for the Podium DD motor.

Jesus,
you are right. It's not placebo, it's the motor calibration.
I usually drive without motor calibration but forgot to clear calibration after updating to motor-fw 41.
After doing that ffb-strenght is back to where it was with motor-fw 40.
Try the FW posted yesterday pls and then with regular motor calibration.

Tried it, here's some feedback...

Now I have tried reinstalling the program to see if it helps.
it still shows a different steering wheel than the one I have has?
