DD Pro heavy vibrations

edited July 2024 in Gran Turismo

Hi, please look at this short video I made after the update of GT7 yesterday. My wheel is vibrating a lot when understeering. Turn up the volume to hear the sound. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ciEATptAqaU

Is it supposed to be like this? If not, what can i do to fix it? I have the latest firmware (457).

  • That is the awful Understeer FFB effect which GT7 uses.

So yes, this is considered to be normal and the intended FFB behaviour of the game.

  • Thanks Maurice for your answer.

    .

  • Have never had it be that anywhere near that severe - is iNT and or NDP set to 0? If so try setting it 3-5. NDP 12-15

  • I have INT 10 and NDP 38. I tried your numbers but same vibrations, Well well, i just have to live with it, it only occur when there is heavy understeer.

Thank you for trying to help me.

    Hi,

Yesterday I migrated from the PS5 controller to the GT DD Pro 8Nm and I have the latest GT7 1.55 update installed. For me, direct drive technology is new an I'm relearning how to drive after 2 years with the PS5 controller.

I have the same vibrations with the Standard Auto setup. I also tried the Advanced setup with the settings shared in the first comment of the post "Gran Turismo 7 (PS4/PS5) - Fanatec Recommended Settings", but same vibrations.

Is there any setting that I can change, to mitigate the vibrations?

No. There is no setting to mitigate this intended game effect.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Hi…here is my Easy solution:

Set it the FEI - F.EFF.INT - Force Effect Intensity, to maximum 50!!! (default = 100)

After update 1.55…if you set 60, or more, it will make the klicking noise. (Only in GT7…in My GT is ok with 100!!!)

Here is my full Fanatec GT DD Pro (8Nm) settings:

    Sen: Auto

    FFB: 100

    FFS: Peak

    NDP: 50

    NFR: OFF

    NIN: OFF

    INT: 11

    FEI: 50 (…this is it…)

    FOR: 80

    SPR: 70

    DPR: 50

    BFR: User Pref (45)

    In GT7: 5/5/10
