My old DD1 or DD+

Hello,

I've had a DD1 with QR2 for 3 years now and now I'm thinking about getting a DD+, does this upgrade make sense? Thanks for your feedback.

  • it depends what value you see at DD+

DD+ does not have display what can show you all kind different info

DD+ is only 15Nm , it means you may lose 5Nm strength over the DD1 what you currently have

but DD+ does have faster ship inside, by default it may bring up game details little better to the hands.

DD+ does also support this Full Force, but that is currently clearly not a selling point

for me its like 50% vs 50%

Hey Herbert, Switching from a DD1 with QR2 to the CSL DD+ isn’t typically an upgrade in performance. The DD1, with its 20 Nm torque and premium build, remains a flagship choice for high end setups. While the DD+ offers impressive features in a compact design and maxes out at 15 Nm with the Boost Kit 180, it’s tailored more for smaller setups or budget conscious users. Stick with your DD1 unless space or the latest tech in the CSL DD+ is a deciding factor. Best, your Fanatec team.

The fact this was written by an admin is beyond worrying!

    1) The CSDD+ is arguably better than the DD! due to is holding torque of 15nm which is around the same as a DD1.

    2) The CSDD+ does not come with a boost kit 180?

    3) The CSDD+ has full force capability which again arguably, once implemented is superior to the DD1!

    4) CSDD+ comes with QR2 by default

    5) CSDD+ is smaller, lighter and has a faster slew rate.

    6) You switched from calling it a CSL DD to a DD+ to CSL DD again.

    Worrying...

  • I have both. I like the DD+ more. It's comparable in strength to what I set the DD1 to. It feels nicer, and it tends to be easier to set FFB to my liking.

Sadly after all this time no one supports SuperDuperFlullTrue Force yet.

5 is actually not correct. The Podium DD still has a faster Slewrate in general and also when used with the same Nm setting.

The rest of your points is accurate though.
