V3 Pedals + Sqv V1.5 Shifter Not Working!!

It is supposed that if I connect the pedals directly to the PC by the USB cable and the shifter to the hand brake connection of the pedals, it will work both (YES, I DON'T HAVE A FANATEC WHEEL BASE).

But the shifter is not recognized, I can't use it! Only the pedals

Yes, the last version of everything, I have tried both cables the one supplied with the shifter and the one provided with the pedals

Any suggestion or advice on how to use the shifter, for me is very important

THANKS!!

  • A Shifter is not a Handbrake. So why you try to connect the Shifter to the Handbrake Port of the pedals? This obviously can not work.

If you dont have a Fanatec Base, you need the official Fanatec ClubSport USB Adapter to get it working as a standalone unit.

  • Configuration Options

    1. Shifter Connected to Pedals:
      • The Fanatec V3 pedals have a dedicated port for connecting the Fanatec handbrake or shifter (using an RJ12 cable).
      • When the shifter is connected to the pedals, the pedals act as a hub and transmit the shifter’s signals to the PC via the USB connection.
      • This setup simplifies the number of USB ports used on your PC and works seamlessly with Fanatec drivers.
    2. Shifter Connected Directly to the PC:
      • If your Fanatec SQ shifter has a separate USB adapter (purchased separately), you can connect it directly to the PC via USB. In this case, the shifter and pedals are recognized as separate devices.
      • This setup might be necessary if you're using non-Fanatec pedals or require a more modular configuration.

From where is that information? The official manual of the CSP V3 does not mention anything regarding a possible Shifter connection, only about the Handbrake connection.

Also in the webshop description of the Shifter it is mentioned that you either need a Fanatec Base or the ClubSport USB Adapter. Nowhere is mentioned that they can be used via the Handbrake Port of the CSP V3.

So what you found might be a misinformation. At least I am not aware that the Shifter should somehow work via the pedals, that would be completely new to me.

  • Seems that the information I gathered was wrong!

I use to have the USB adapter, but it's rubbish, I have no way to calibrate the shifter so was as useless as not having it connected.

Maybe I missed something, but I never found a way to calibrate it.

Seems that the odds are pushing me out of Fanatec
