Problems after Updating firmware
Hello at all,
i used a Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel and i updated it to the newest firmware today. I use the wheel on my Playstation 5 and i never had problems with it on the PS5. After the update i have no Force Feedback available. I check all the settings of the games i play, and no FFB is coming.
When i connect the wheel to the PC, i can do a FFB check. It works. All other things works too. I can't find any problem.
Can u help me to solve this problem. I want drive with FFB on the PS5 again.
I tried the Games Gran Tourismo 7 and F1 24.

what latest drivers/firmware you talk exactly?
fanatec self have already 460 i think. you info is not fully clear
PC Driver is 455, Wheelbase Driver is 693, and Wheel Base Motor is 22
These are the figures are shown in the Fanatec Control Panel on my PC.

Why? Does 693 not support FFB on PS5?
It does and there are no reports at all that it does not.
Just to point out the obvious.. You change the mode to the blue PS mode or purple PS compatibility mode when you wanna use it on PS, right?
Yes, right. I always used it with the blue light. I can try it with purple before i rollback. maybe its works.
And i can still drive all games. All works, only FFB. Otherwise its all perfect.
Update: I tried it with the purple light. Now my PS5 says me i have a Logitech G29. I can drive normally with this settings. But again no Force Feedback. When i switched back to blue light my PS5 says instantly its a CSL Elite Wheel. I can drive too. But again no FFB)
Did you check the wheel settings after update? Things not set to zero in the tuning menu?
my question would be why the hell it detects as Logitech G29
Fanatec have own id for they products, if it detects product as something else dunno what may happen with fanatec product self
Detection as Logitech G29 in purple compatibility mode is actually correct and intended for a CSL Elite base.
in other words, in that mode stuff like itm and other fanatec special features never start work
Wrong. ITM is not working on consoles anyway atm. Legacy telemetry however as well as LED support is working fine. In compatibility modes the base just emulates to be a different product so the game recognizes the base (in case the game is too old to support a base natively), the supported features are not affected at all.
if developer see product as Logitech G29, for him it means that product not have ITM, and that's it
A CSL Elite Base does not support ITM anyway as it does not have a ITM capable Screen.

Compatibility modes do NOT have limited functionality! That's what I tried to tell you but as always you dont want to understand...

for me it means in future user may get zero support for this specific one, so yes currently looks like Direct Drive is future self

@maurice after I power up my base it’s vibrating very hard and after 5 a 10 mins it’s stopped is that a hardware problem ?

The CSL Elite WB+ (the PS4 versions) still gets support for at least another year, if not more. So stop spreading such nonsense. You already was warned what consequences your behaviour in this forum could have if you continue what you are doing. Stop it.
Yes that is a hardware issue.
i think user already get his answers,
either roll back the firmware,
or check the FFB strength
as this purple one not worked for him
