While playing GT7 I encountered a problem regarding BME. The top right button (depending on it is button no. 6 or button no. 2!) (triangle) does not work as an input. Instead, the input is recognized as the Square, which is actually one button down or the second from the top right! After I reverted to driver 455 everything works as usual. So it seems to be a problem with driver 457 with the BME and GT7.
After i reverted to driver 455 everything works as usual again, so it seems to be a problem with driver 457, the BME and GT7. Other wheels like the F1 2.5X or the CS V2 Hub for XBox worked fine also under 457, the input theree was the correct.
My Configuration: DD1. Podium Hub, BME, Porsche GT3 Wheel suede.
Are there any incoming fixes for the podium button module rally? On my dd+ on pc playing ACC, the display doesn't show anything, then when I hit a big force feedback hit (slide etc) the display goes haywire and displays nonsense char. I've been led to believe this is a known issue.
I'm with the same issue from some people here, clubsport dd+ base stuck in update mode... everytime I turn on the base it does an "update" and sometimes it works after that and some times it doesnt... but even when it works my settings are lost, wheel gets decentralized...
I'm really sad with this cause I live in Brazil and things here are really expensive, this was the investment of a lifetime... I dont know what to do , I've tried going back to older driver versions and also newer (like the 457 one).
Do you think this could be solved with an update in the future? Unfortunately I've seen many people going with RMA for this... Fanatec is not operating in Brazil so I'll have to travel to the US to ship the base for RMA...
One thing I've noticed is that apparently the base is in loop with the FW 2.1.0.3... For example, If I try to intall 2.1.0.4 from this chat, it works... however, the next time I turn on the base and it goes into update mode, it will update itself back to 2.1.0.3 again, everytime, doesnt metter which drive I'm using... how's that possible ? I also tried with a different PC.
Also, If I download driver 454 and try to manually install the FW, it should install FW 2.0.1.1 by default right ? but it doesnt, it goes to 2.1.0.3 again...
This comment is for GT7 users on PS5 using the DD Extreme with current version of 455 WB and 457 for others and in race disconnects...
I have discovered that during race start prior to green lights to go by entering into autodrive mode (pressing the menu button on the Extreme wheel) and then returning to manual drive (pressing the X button on the Extreme wheel) I have had no disconnects during any of my online races, even endurance races.
Still looking for an update. Last contact was 1st May to advise it was resolved internally, and was to be merged into public firmware after testing. Specifically, an approximate eta / status of progress would be helpful
No update on this issue, what was reported in May is still the most recent news on this matter. It is still fixed internally and still needs to be merged into a public firmware but there is no ETA whenever this will happen.
As we still gather information from the survey, started only just last week, there is obviously absolutely no ETA for a new driver.
If all the steps mentioned in the first post dont help then you might have to contact the support as it then could also be a hardware issue on your unit which cant be fixed with a new driver anyway.
hello, on my DD+ base, I tried the different drivers and patches and the disconnection problems were still present, except in PS4 mode. It's only when returning to 455 that it works even in PS5 mode. It's a software problem more than a hardware problem.
hi. How do you downgrade from 457 to 455? Doing it manually results in the updating mode bootloop. When i upgraded, it said to use the downgrade feature. Cannot find thjis in 457. 457 i lose inputs in corners. I never should have updated. Please help 455 was stable..
EDIT.. Just installed the newest firmwares manually (2.1.0.4 maybe??) for the base and QR that i found in these threads. 1 lap around nurb no issues. Im on PC btw, dont' ahve the disconnection issues. just wanted to do the fullforce demo......
hopefully this is it. still want to know how to downgrade properly to 455 just in case tho..
nevermind. hard turn into wall and feedback haywire. had to power base down. dead in the water, although it "works".. please someone help me downgrade to 455 properly. all my searching led to one post with a guy berating someone for asking and 3 dead ends... i guess this means no racing tomorrow on my day off....

Und: Warum schreibe ich hier in Englisch?
Regards
Yvonne
Yup, that's a known Firmware issue of the one included in driver 457 to be fixed at some point in the future.
And you write in English because of the forum rules. It is an international forum, not a German forum ;)
Am i blind? I checked the whole 457 discussion and read none of that. Also nothing in the changelog or known issues. Did no one ask before?
Can we still expect any updates in the future, because of current situation of the company?
Regards
And i forgot to ask: is it about the BME and the Podium Hub or BME with CS Universal Hub for Xbox also?
You must have overlooked it.
It was reported several times and already forwarded for analysis to the devs.
Hello Pedro, I can "comfort" you, I have been waiting for a response from support since June 7th, 2024. I opened the RMA on December 23rd, 2023.
The response times are getting longer and longer and now the support doesn't seem to be answering at all anymore
Is this the exact same 457 driver that was out first time or there are some improvements inside this one?
Read the first post ;)
Sorry I was @ work and just scrolled quick through...
I see now it's the same 457 rc from April...

Just wanted to share my sadness... sorry.
This is highly unlikely to be fixable with a new firmware as it sounds like a hardware issue to me so you would need to contact the support.
99% its not firmware related, trust me, just went through this, they changed PCB on my base.

This is my work around until 458 comes out.
one thing people mentions here is to try to update the FW to lower version by only one step.
so if you have 457 dont go straight to 454 instead try to go 457 then 456 then 455 then 454, still this didnt help me but who knows

Try running the downgrade to 454 without a rim attached to the base. It doesn’t like it when the rim is attached.
any news when the new driver will be released that will solve the csdd+ disconnect problems?
Read the first post...
I have it, the hotfix is also installed
but it doesn't help
so when will the driver that works be available?

When downgrade base FW make sure to detach your wheel or weird things can happen.
