Clubsport DD+ Coil Whine Noise
I am getting a loud coil whine noise when my Clubsport DD+ is powered on. The noise is constant and quite annoying. Is this normal? It has been like this since I received it from fanatec. I submitted a support ticket. How long should I expect to wait for a response?

Coil whine is a widespread hardware issue which can only be fixed with a repair so you need to wait for the support to get back to you which can take some weeks
I really wish a serial number range of all affected units sold could be posted, or is EVERY ClubSport DD/DD+/DD Extreme unit, even the current unsold inventory, potentially going to fail?
As much as I want one, I can't buy one with these questions lingering in my head.

I got to use my Clubssport DD for a while before I noticed the Coil Whine 😔. Contacted support, just waiting for the Shipping label. Man this wheel base is awesome, feels better than my GT DD Pro 8nm that I had previously, and I was very happy with that base.

coil whine problem (CS DD+) I too, turning the steering wheel increases and decreases and it's not smooth.. that's not good.

I have the same Problem. The noise is loud and the wheel is vibrating. The vibrating disturbs the Forcefeedback. Is there a solution for this Problem?
No solution you can do at home. You need to contact the support.

Can i use the base with this problem until the support answers?
I for sure am going to continue using it until I receive a response from support regarding this issue. I don’t see why it will hurt? They will either repair or replace our units, so why not enjoy it until we receive the RMA to send them back.
I submitted my support request last night for the coil whine issue on my DD+ I received in February. Based on what Maurice has been posted, it can take up to a couple of weeks before your support ticket gets addressed. I’ve packed my patience =)
I do really like this base! It’s a noticeable upgrade to my DD Pro. Chalk it up to rolling the dice on a first production run new product.
Products that have been in mass production for two years also have this issue, which is the DD Pro
Guys, I spoke to an electrical engineer with balls. he says you can't do anything about it, the only thing is that Fanatec uses software to lower or raise the hz of the pwm in order to cancel out these complaints. Can anyone tell me what the original firmware is with which these DD+ arrive? I would like to test if with the original fw there is coil whine or not.
The coil whine will NOT be fixed with Firmware!
It needs to be fixed on a hardware level and the support also knows how to achieve this.
I had hoped so :) I hope they respond to my ticket soon to resolve the issue as soon as possible. gnaws a base right out of the box that is defective and wait all these days.
