elite V2 pedals do not fit in clubsport cockpit

why would fanatec make a product that does not fit in their own cockpit? my elite v2 pedals are too wide for the tray and will not sit flat on the bottom.

    Aren't you supposed to remove pedals from the plate and mount them direct to tray?

    "Pedals can be individually mounted without heel rest, inverted mounting possible"

    the heel plate is over an inch tall. without it the pedal face would be too tall

    I see. I guess that's another $159.99 accessory they can sell. A heel plate that actually fits the tray.

    Glad I bought a $159.99 Chinese sim rig on Amazon. I was able to invert my standard ClubSport v3 Pedals without buying anything.

    Guess you could have machine shop mill a centimeter off each side.
