Hello, I have a strange feeling after the 4.64 update, a lack of information and force in the turns,
this was not the case before the wheel base firmare update; I think we need to downgrade the base steering wheel firmware to version 1.2.09
but I don't know how to proceed because I put the main driver back to 4.62 and don't want to do it in the wrong order. Please give me the steps to proceed
in order to to avoid a return of the product. keep me informed thank you in advance
I am on CSLDD 5nm

Hey there! We’re sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue after the 4.64 update. To help with downgrading your wheel base firmware, it’s important to follow the steps in the correct order to avoid any complications. First, make sure you have the driver version 4.62 installed, then you can downgrade the firmware to 1.2.09 for the CSL DD. You’ll want to use the Fanatec Control Panel to downgrade the base firmware, but please be sure to follow the official instructions carefully from the Fanatec website or manual. If you run into any trouble, feel free to reach out our support team, and they’ll be happy to assist you further. Best, your Fanatec team.
Sorry for highjacking the thread, but I reached out Fanatec support team with my issue and I haven't heard from them. How long does it normally take to get a response on tech support ticket?
Thanks ! should I leave the steering wheel hanging on the base during operation downgrade firmware base where I don't plug it in?
Please answer knowing they don't need to be backslidden .
You're welcome, and thanks for reaching out! We recommend not leaving the steering wheel hanging from the base during operation, as this could potentially cause unnecessary strain on the connections. It's always a good idea to securely mount the wheel to the hub or place it somewhere safe when it's not in use. We acknowledge that the current speed of customer service responses needs improvement. Please note that we're committed to improving our customer service. Fanatec will be integrated into the global support and logistics operation by Corsair, to give you better service and more transparency.
As for downgrading the firmware, you don’t need to plug in the wheel for that, but make sure you're following the correct steps outlined in the manual to avoid any issues. We want to ensure everything works smoothly for you. Best, your Fanatec team.
