Is this a normal behavior for the DD+ base?
When my DD+ base is powered on and the wheel is rotated to certain degrees (13, 40, 65, etc) I can clearly feel vibrations in it and it may even start shaking and moving if I remove my hands off it. See the video below:
This stuff in the video happens not in a game and with no FFB applied to the base. And when driving in a game and there's some FFB, I can also feel the vibrations, and again they only happen at around those angles off the center. When the wheel is straight or rotated to 26, 52, or 78 degrees, everything is smooth as silk. But when it is 13, 40, etc there's this grainy feeling in the wheel and it is rather distracting. This has been happening all the time right from the get go. I got the base just a couple of days ago and it's been like that from the moment I first tried it after installing the drivers and updating the firmware, and I suspect that my base might have an issue. I'm using the latest 464 drivers and 2.3.0.1 firmware. I don't think my base has coil whine problem, though my high-frequency hearing is shot and I wouldn't hear it anyway, but when I asked my wife she said she didn't hear any high-pitching noise from it.

Allan Lehtla vous etes plus une continuité du probleme qu'une vrai aides ! La majorité de vos réponses sont inutiles
Quand on as un soucis on as pas forcement que le pilier de bar du forum réponde a tous et son contraires
to you have same problem with this DD+ ?
How did you make this steering wheel compatible with the CS DD+?
Do you have another steering wheel that has an officially replaceable QR that you can try to see if it does the same thing?
to you really think its caused by steering wheel? never hear this kind defense before
that issue could be caused if two coil hits same time to the empty magnet spots
i not know tho if it's only your hardware issue or everyone is affected about this.
another what could cause this also if there are some faulty magnets, but like i tell already i don't know if everyone is affected, not many talk about this
I have a DD+ and can see it vibrate slightly in certain positions when idle - very slight and have no other issues w the base. Haven’t noticed while driving but haven’t really spent time looking for it - I’ll have to see if its more noticeable
It is normal for it to vibrate with NFR on, but his NFR is set to off.
DD+ is being sold as compatible with "All Fanatec Steering Wheels*"
*Older QR1 Steering Wheels without an exchangeable quick release require the QR1 Base-Side (Type-F) accessory. I'm currently using that accessory, but I was planning to convert this wheel to QR2 which is possible with a third-party adapter. It's all just mechanic coupling and it doesn't affect electric signals between the base and the wheel or internals of the base.
The problem is clearly not in the wheel attached to it, the vibrations happen even if I take it off the base, it's something internal in the base.
I also noticed that if I subject the base to strong FFB forces (e.g. driving circles on a skidpad with 100% FFB for a couple of minutes, or simply rotating the wheel to the virtual wheelstops and trying to overcome them), so that it warms up a little, the vibrations disappear and it becomes quite smooth, but where there used to be the vibrations I can now hear the base making noises instead. See the video:
And then after the base cools down the noises are gone, but the vibrations are back. Something's not right here
Contact Fanatec support.
I opened a ticket about the vibrations on Monday, but haven't heard from them after the initial automated email with the ticket number
Christmas is coming. i doubt they want take in anything atm if they not even around at work
Yeah, I tried to enable NFR and I could feel that the vibrations became even stronger
But this is a different base with a different motor. DD+ doesn't even have such thing as motor firmware, it's just the base and QR
oups sorry
