Torque Magnitude Issue

Hello, I have a Fanatec Podium DD2 wheel base and a ClubSport Universal Hub V2 wheel attached to it. I have a simple test to verify the system where I output torque as a percentage of SWA. a 60deg SWA would output 6 as output torque. However it doesn't feel like a 6Nm torque. Feels almost half of it. I believe the base outputs torque in Nm. Is that correct or is a menu where I need to set the output torque units. I do have force feedback set to 100.

  • directX can control the strength as well, how exactly you measure the Nm ?

I am not sure how to measure it. It would be useful if the base displays the torque coming out. I wrote a C program that takes in the SWA multiplies it by 0.1 and returns that as the torque. So for a SWA of 60deg I should see a 6Nm torque coming out to the wheel. But it doesn't feel like 6Nm.

  • you mean this stuff comes out off base?

Yes. How do I display those menus? The display has the Fanatec logo. When I press it it goes into the calibration menu

Thank you. I was able to find the torque menu. Do you know what FFB Set Point is?

  • Also, has anyone verified if the torque displayed in the Motor Data Analysis is accurate?
