Clubsport DD bases QC is very bad. Support non-existent. Dont buy them, dont repeat my mistake.
I highly advise everyone to stay away from purchasing clubsport dd/dd+ plus base.
Recently I purchased Clubsport DD base. On a 2nd day of use I noticed clunking sound that comes from inside the base. I happens when I turn a wheel in one specific point of rotation. My best guess the shaft bearing has an issue.
Created a RMA case, sent the base. While they had it I tried to reach out and ask what was wrong, got no response.
Later my base was just sent back with no email or anything about the status of repair or a message or anything.
Received the base and it seems they didnt touch it. The issue is still present. They just sent the base back as it was.
Opened new RMA case, trying to reach them again and silence.
Im not the only one who had such issue, I found at least 3 other posts here and on reddit with the same issue.
Fanatec doesn't care to fix it. I know the company goes through change of ownership phase but as far as I know no employee was fired so they should all still work and respond.
As someone who is balls deep in fanatec ecosystem it's very frustrating to get such service from a company to which I paid thousands of dollars and I dont wish anyone to be in the same position.
Vid that demonstrates the issue attached.

i think you are very unfortunate to get a base that got a clunking sound of it after 2 days of using it, I had a DD+ that had coil whine and died after 10 months I created a RMA and is it is right now for repair i have to to say that i have only good experience with Fanatec support/repair team and I order a new base for in the meantime and it is a Clubsport DD I will update here if something gone wrong with my new base or my base that is there for repair
you stopping talk if they send you base back like they todo for some other customers without repairing.
ownership change phase is yes very difficult time, because never knows what comes next.
I don’t think so because it doesn’t power up anymore so they can’t send it back like that
Endor AG have also those so called subsidiary company's who is responsible those stuff, if Endor AG not pay for them, those may just refuse package, and customer package may just sit in some UPS warehouse till it returns to customer
at least it looks like this what been happened for some customers
it may take a time when everything goes back to normal
I guess it’s time for me to create my own ticket for this. I’ve been putting off sending in my DD+ with this issue, but I don’t want to end up fighting over warranty timing when the 1 yr mark rolls around. I did get a quick response on my shifter mis-shifting issue (currently in for repair and expected to come back to me tomorrow according to FedEx) so we'll see how that goes.
OP - do you care to divulge what country you live in? I'm in the US (Texas specifically, and about 150 miles from Suddath's new Texas hub at DFW airport). Although I've had similarly long shipping times as others, my repair work seems to be going okay. I've held onto my DD1 (also repaired, but I got this one second-hand) knowing that my DD+ is likely to need repair.
For some reason my initial reply got deleted when I tried to edit it.
Im from Los Angeles, US.
I had no shipping issue. There's just 0 communication when I tried to reach them both when they still had my base in the Repair center and when I got it back with clicking issue UNFIXED and I created a new RMA case. They both ignored me and didnt fix anything which makes it even worse. I'd be fine and they fixed it and ignored me...
Have to hold on to my CSL GT DD base for that reason too.
