Old Porsche 911 GT3 RS v2 wheel resets on hitting soft lock

I have a 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS V2 wheel that my son is trying to get re-setup.

I've updated the firmware (756) and driver (261).

Whenever I turn the wheel to a soft lock (360 degrees, F1), I get a few quick rumbles but then the wheel powers off and on again on its own. Like a current limiter is kicking in.

Is this a software problem I can adjust or maybe a known hardware issue?

I know it's a veery old wheel. Any advice welcomed.

    For anyone who finds this in the future...

    It was the power supply. A 24v 1A power supply was mistakenly swapped for the original during a move. I found another 24V that is 2.5A and no problems after that.
