DD+ Officially licensed for PlayStation®5 - Marketed OFFICIAL even before Sony approved the product
So even before the product was approved by Sony, DD+ it was put on preorder and sold as Officially licensed for PlayStation®5 with PS logo as well.
This is some next level scam going on here.
No company can market or sell a product as being official before it was been approved by the vendor.

thats completly normal. Unnormal is that it takes that long. Sony should have the bases for months now.
But even Sony could a bit confused about the things here. What they for sure not want is that the image from Fanatec atm translated to sony.
Japenese culture is a bit different and i don´t know what they thinking what people write abot fanatec in the web. but if the contracts are safe nobody should be worried.
Maybe Sony sent their approval through to the email. That should only take a few weeks to discover..

It would be great if buyers from Europe and America filed complaints with consumer rights authorities and fanatec received a serious fine for directly deceiving buyers, there is no other way to call it. This is not a reservation or discrepancy, but deception.

They are basically using Sony brand name to promote their product event before Sony approved it.
That way anyone could sell anything as being official in the name of pending approval.

This sucks. But you highlighted what is likely the business between Fanatec and Sony, and ignored the disclaimer that was always on that same page.
I am just as upset and concerned about what is going on. But if they won't be transparent, we can be.
I've been watching that disclaimer for a long time waiting for it to change to the same statement that the GT DD Pro has.
What's more worrying is that they didn't wait for Sony's permission. Why? They produced the wheelbases, shipped them from the factory to their warehouses in Europe and America, they can't send them back to modify them anymore, so the deal was done, they just had to wait for the official announcement. Evidently they couldn't wait, they had to sell the wheelbases before the end of 2023. It seems like a very desperate move.
thing is tho, they to can make changes if needed, fanatec product is kind off simple , just take out old board and add new one back to inside if needed of-course, they not need send those back

Not the point, if you send an email out to customers saying we are going to make delivery before end of year, that’s the moment you mention subject to Sony approval. It does make one wonder how true this all is givin they didn’t even mention that as a factor. Why rush air freight if approval hasn’t been granted, makes no sense.
Maybe they were expecting it? You don't run big projects as a single concurrent stream of work. You run multiple work streams in parallel. Sometimes one stream hits a snag and the project might get delayed.
They've got to obviously manufacture them, market them, get regulatory and licence agreements, create software, work on game integration, and ship them. They thought shipping was the stream that was behind on the target date, but then getting the licence approved has gone overdue instead. Project manager will be fuming.
i think James tell that they not expected that this happens, they hope that they get at that time already the approval from Sony like in previous experiences they had.
if they self know this they probaply would not even use air transport as that cost more
