No, thats not true! It's clearly communicated that there will be an additional QR1 Base Side (Type F) for the new Bases to Downgrade them to QR1. But this one has no Release date atm (or i just dont't know the date).
Would be important to know what is situation, ETA etc with base side QR1-downgrade part. I plan to buy CS DD+ at some point, but I simply will not buy it if i don't have exact proof/information about that QR1-converter. I have over 10 wheels/hubs and I'm not going to convert all of them to QR2.

They're clearly not going to make QR1 adapters for wheelbases that are natively QR2.
Feb 2nd is their listed date for availability of the standard wheel side QR2.
