DD Clamp arrived yesterday in it's box. Rest of the shit I picked up from the UPS depot after they failed to deliver it only to find cat food in the box when I opened it.
Yeah. unfortunately it's hard to hold a phone and open a box so it's kind of shit quality. Already filed a police report and submitted a ticket to fanatec. Hoping I don't have to go the PayPal/credit card chargeback option... It sucks because Fanatec seems to have the best ecosystem for rims/wheels but also I can only use UPS to buy from them which I've yet to have a good experience with in the UK. (Though this is definitely worse than normal) hell if you go to the Google reviews of the local UPS depot it's filled with angry customers complaining UPS stole their packages. Which I'm inclined to agree with now.
Still struggling to decide if I want a refund or replacement given a choice honestly...
Out of curiosity, how were the boxes opened and then resealed? Can't see any obvious signs that the boxes have been sealed twice - the only tape is the Fanatec tape and the address label doesn't look tampered with. That would imply that any tampering was done before the boxes were sealed. Strange!
You're allowed an opinion. Even if it's wrong. To be clear. I'm pretty sure fanatec shipped my stuff and that UPS did the switcharoo... Especially seeing the local depot's google page being filled with complaints about UPS stealing packages.
I'm just pissed because I was looking forward to setting this up for the weekend and got... cat food...
The pedals were pretty obviously resealed on the bottom which I noticed after I opened them and saw cat food. The other 3 packages it's hard to tell but if you look closely enough yeah it seems someone slit the tape on the bottom and resealed them but you would have had to know they were opened to really be able to notice. The biggest tipoff should have been the weight... but I was just so happy to finally have my shit before the weekend that I didn't even question it when I picked it up at the depot...
Because this is consistently my experience with UPS in the UK. "You missed yur delivery driver today" Despite knowing damn well the only person who knocked on my door today was the amazon delivery driver.
It's clearly mostly a Delivery company issue but Fanatec isn't helping with their clearly labeled packaging either... This is apparently getting to be pretty common in the UK and yeah... I'm never signing for another high value package without opening it first.
Because fanatec ships every package individually and they didn't steal every package. Just the most expensive shit... Because shipping expensive electronics in clearly marked boxes is such a great fucking idea.
fanatec boxes are taped with fanatec tapes, those are custom ones what fanatec orders them for they company, if you see that your boxes are somehow open and then closed by non fanatec tape, you have right to refuse a package.
Picked up from Hub on Friday after UPS lied about attempting delivery
QR2 pro - stolen & replaced with wet dogfood
CSL Elite V2 Pedals - stolen & replaced with bag of dog + cat food
Mclaren GT3 Wheel - Stolen & replaced with cat food
1 DD 8nm base - Stolen & replaced with cat food
club sport wheel rim - Arrived
CSL Universal Hub - Arrived
QR2 Base side - Arrived
Still "missing"
QR2 Pro (And honestly will probably refuse delivery if UPS tries at this point)
Yesterday after opening the packages I took a ton of pictures, filed a police report (for as much good as that shit will honestly do in London) and started looking at other options who don't use UPS to basically realize anything else I would buy is going to set me back 50-100% more. So I honestly still kind of want the gear... I just have zero desire to deal with UPS after this experience considering my "normal" experience with them before this is they lie about trying to deliver it until you're forced to go pick it up from the depot or a collection point.
Which is all great if it's easy to tell they've been retaped which only the pedal box was. The other 3 it was not obvious at all they had been opened from the bottom and resealed.
But that aside there's a ton of reasons packages could arrive pre-opened or with extra tape especially when they go through customs. That being said I'm sure as fuck being a lot more picky if fanatec replaces the missing gear or from whoever else I end up ordering from.
Yeah. Everything that wasn't cat/dog food when I opened the outer box appears to all be there. Unfortunately they mostly just left the lower priced items

Did you recorded a video after opening the first box and seeing that wasn't your products inside?

Have been all over the internet and never, never seen anyone complaining about empty boxes.
They have, each year some kind of problems with logistics and shipment, but men, empty boxes 🤔
I'm sorry, but that's fake all over the place.

Hope you took the time to contact the police.
I hope your cat likes Aldi food.
Aldi cat food?
one time i to get empty box when i ordered item at UK, but that was made empty from delivery company self.
question is why you todo that? you pay for transfer
From fanatec? I was talking about items from fanatec. Of you search all over, you won't find anyone talking about that.
But hey, shit happens. For me look fake, but if the OP says is true, ok. Who am I to say otherwise?
Curious to see the end result
I filed a police report online but given the state of the London Met Police... I doubt I'll ever even hear back from them.
I unfortunately do not have one. And it's apparently shit cat food anyways according to my wife who's been trying to convince me to get a cat.

Why is there a box with the steering wheel in it, in the background of the picture?

So how many boxes did you order and how many got stolen ?

this days we to have scanners what can look inside box without opening that, what year the uk customs work at?
Judging by the state of their depot I guess the mid 90s.
anyway if its stolen from customs then its traceable, that guy literally want go jail
Inside this all the right stuff is in? I think the Delivery-Man have not longer his Job 🙈

I would have been tipped off immediately from the can rolling around inside the QR2 box and opened it in front of the UPS clerk. Just saying.
Things do happen though, I just got a empty Blu-ray box from eBay (That's a surprise, eh?), got a refund.
