csl dd firmware download.....
hi guys, i have a new csl dd bundle and have followed all the firmware install instructions etc. I open the zip file to instal the firmware update (x64 version selected) then a box pops up saying that what i'm trying to install is not a microsoft store item, and there is a button to press for "Install anyway" so i press this expecting the installshield box to pop up for me to install the firmware update and absolutely nothing happens!!
has anyone had this happen too?
Please help i'm dying to use my equipment!!
Thanks.

Guys loads of people have looked at my post about the trouble I'm having installing the firmware update for my brand new CSL DD kit can somebody please help me I'm struggling here guys?
it should not pop up message microsoft store item, soo im not sure what you are and how you try install
I'm just downloading or should I say attempting to install the latest firmware update 452 I believe it is it downloads the zip file I then opened the zip file and then the window pops up from Microsoft store saying this is not one of their apps and so on and there is a button to me to press saying install anyway so I press that and then nothing happens whatsoever it doesn't install or even the box that normally pops up for you to install it it asks you where you want to install it you press next normally and away it goes and it's all good so I haven't even got the firmware manager desktop shortcut or anything absolutely nothing is happening. Do you have any advice at all friend?
You need to extract the archive, it is not possible to just run the installer directly from the zip so most likely that is your issue.
A picture or even a video of the issue would certainly help so everyone sees what the issue is
This is what pops up
As I said, you try to run the installer from the zip. This can not work, you have to unzip the archive first.
I then double click this file as this is my system (windows 11 pro)
That's when the Microsoft pop-up arrives once I've double clicked that I've right clicked it as well and to see if it needs extraction but I've already extracted it that's what's in the zip file is what you see there
Ignore the rubbish about unzipping - that is not your issue. Your problem is you are in Windows S mode. Follow these instructions to install non-Store apps - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307#WindowsVersion=Windows_11
Wasnt really "rubbish". In the one picture he clearly did not unzipped the archive and the installer would not install from the archive itself but first need to be extracted.
Even though apparently that indeed was not his issue explicitly, but it was part of the issue as even when he opts-out of the S mode, he would need to extract the archive to run the installer.
Installed the drivers last week without unzipping in Windows 11 and was no issues at all.
It will just unzip the *.msi for you in the background and because no other files are needed from the zip it will be no issue at all.
guys im running windows 11 pro i used the link and then went to settings, system, activation and then there is nothing i can do. it said that win 11 pro doesnt even have s mode apparently? HELP!!
David i couldn't believe how simple it was, and i mean it really was like 5 mouse clicks and then sorted!! lol
I had a quick thrash round brands hatch (ACC) in a punchy 458 or 488 Ferrari and literally just had the csl dd 5nm ready to race bundle delivered yesterday, upgrading from a Logitech G920 what a brilliant difference! I'm knackered after 6 laps!!
