QR2 vs. QR1 gap/distance between base and wheel
Hello dear Fanatec Team,
one simple question. You tell into your description from QR2, there is may a difference at the gap between base and wheel with the new QR2 vs. QR1.
For DD1/2, Is that gap more or less with the QR2, btw. in what direction goes this gap? Are the wheels now closer to the base?
Hope for an answer and many regards

I just got my QR2 base and wheel side installed on my DD1.
The QR2 is 2mm longer installed with wheel on a DD1\DD2 than the QR1.
For me, not worth having to adjust my base.
Hello Jon,
many thanks for your answer. Yes, 2mm are more or less nothing to change anything at the rig.
Many regards
Michael
Are you happy with the upgrade, notice much difference compared to QR1?
there is difference if you change the steering wheels self
but not much difference if you use same steering wheel all the time.
Goodo, I do have two rims that I wish to swap between, and maybe more in the future.
Yes, I am happy with the upgrade other than the cost of it as I have 3 wheels............. QR2 type M base-side and 3 QR2 wheel-sides - $450.00 shipped (ouch!)
I was using a z-ring mod on my QR1 wheel side but still had a tiny bit of flex in the connector which needed the locking bolt to get rid of.
QR2 is rock solid.
Only difference between QR1 w/z-ring mod and locking bolt and QR2 is not having to remove the locking bolt every time I want to change a wheel.
QR2 sure does look a lot better than the modded monstrosity of the QR1.
Of course now I need to wait until someone makes a 3d printed QR2 wheel wall mount so I can properly hang my wheels! :)
Here is a pic of my old QR1 setup:
Nice, thanks for that info, it is certainly a good looking solution. Can't wait for mine to turn up. Is there anything to look out for when installing?
The wheel side is the same as putting on the QR1 except for replacing the metal ring on the pin end.
On the base side, the only thing I had a slight problem with was the shaft of the QR2 was snug going into my DD1 shaft. Had to tap on it with the palm of my hand to get it to go all the way in and seat with the DD1.
Not really planning to have to remove it from the base anyway. Not like the QR2 will need any kind of mods like the QR1 did.
Okay, thanks for that info, will keep that in mind when doing it.
