Clubsport Adapter working with the CSL Elite Pedals cable?

Hey guys, so as it says in the title.

I am getting a non-Fanatec wheelbase but i have the CSL Elite Pedals (the ones they used to sell with just gas and brake pedal). So i need an adapter to be able to connect the pedals with the PC. I ordered the Clubsport Adapter because i thought that should be it. But now i wonder if this adapter only works with Clubsport pedals cables while the cable from the CSL Elite pedals might be a different one?
