CSL DD psu question

I have my wheel constantly powered on by the wall but switched off by the button on the wheel base is this unadvisable from a reliability/longevity pov (the wall switch is really difficult to get to) I did the same with my logitec for over a decade and that was fine but thats very low powered compared to the 8nm psu supplied with the DD
