I confirm, i have the same problem, the same thing is happening to me, I am very annoyed and sad, I buy Csl DD pro 8nm, V3 pedals with dumper kit on brake and accelerator, plus F1 V2.5X wheel, More wheel BMW gt2, Before I used a simple g923, and now, with gt DD pro, I am 2 seconds slower than friends who have always been behind me !!!
it's normal, now you have to train, this new steering wheel transmits real sensations, you also have to train several techniques because of load cell (trailbraking) and force feed back and adjust your driving settings.
Yep, exactly as the settings are stated in the opening post in this thread. When I first got the wheel I could run it with FFB in the 30s and it had plenty of force but after one of the updates last year it changed and i had to turn it up to 80+ and also higher dampening and friction to match. I thought it was just a change from the update but after finding these recommended settings I'm thinking something has gone wrong with the wheel. I did recently try stepping back to an older version of the firmware but that didn't change anything
Can anyone found any solution to slow down the wheel to return to center? SRP effect doesn't seems to have any effect. Iam using the fanatec recommended settings both wheel and game (CSL elite PS4 on ps5).
I repeat, I am only using gt7 on PS5, and my friends, who have always been behind me, both in the race and in qualifying, I lost 2 seconds from them !! adjust the height of the station, I had mounted red and green elastomer, medium hard, Now I put medium soft, and by doing so I recovered almost 2 seconds, but now I am on par with those I was in front of !!There is still something to fix! These days I am sick and lacking in energy I want to try Maurice's settings.
I also ordered src plus station, it will definitely be better than the challenge, too much dancer ...
Definitely sounds like something is up with the wheel then, I'm running FFB 42, and using a slightly larger wheel (Porsche GT3) and there's certainly plenty of feedback....
First of all there is a big chance that you have odd settings on your pedals.
I would remove the damper from the brake and i would start with BRF at 50 and leave it there for some time to get used it.
Also i love Maurice settings. Just lowering the NFR to 20 and NDP to 40 i think it is perfect for me now.
You really need some practice with these kind of gear in order to get used to it and later to find some proper settings for your brake/ pedals which is/are the most important for any racing title
Very true, I confirm that by adjusting the brake pedal I have recovered a lot, but I left the dumper, I love the feeling it gives me! , I put the red and green elastometers, In medium-soft configuration, the load cell is calibrated at 45
Just got my wheel last night and I find the recommended settings to feel extremely dull and a bit too heavy. Is there a collection of user-profiles anywhere? Also is there a good breakdown of what each setting does? Thanks
maybe there was a detailed manual in addition to the manual !! unfortunately there is not, and it is very difficult to understand what exactly all the settings are for !! it would take someone like #maurice that It writes us the meaning of the single functions in simple terms!
I sent in a service request a couple of weeks ago for help with this issue. Fanatec have sent a reply asking for a video to show this issue
"I kindly ask would there be a possibility to provide us a video of the issue?
This would be more than helpful for us to identify the cause for the malfunction, and it would give us the chance to initiate the further procedure right away. The best would be to show us the issue with the Fanatec-Software on your PC"
Can anyone tell me how to simulate this issue on PC? I have no idea
Thanks for the reply. I ran that test and recorded it and sent it off. It didn't seem to show anything to me, just made the wheel oscillate for a few seconds and that was it? Anyway, they have that and i also saved the log files if they'll show them anything, hopefully that's enough or they can explain exactly what they want to see.
Force feedback feels trash after the 1.15 GT7 update. Anyone got any new settings to help, just feels really light and no strength. Feels like a toy now.
I’ve tried it, it is stronger but not very much detail at all. It’s better but god I hope someone finds some settings that will restore it to how it was. I had a play with some settings but to be honest I don’t know what I’m doing but was able to make a significant improvement. I’m was running the settings that fanatec recommended at game launch.
With new update I am more or less happy with these settings now:
SEN: AUTO
FFB: 100
FFS: PEAK
NDP: 50
NFR: 25
NIN: OFF
INT: 3
FEI: 90
FOR: 120
SPR: OFF
DPR: OFF
GT7 in Game Settings:
Force Feedback Max Torque: 10
Force Feedback Sensitivity: 1
With those settings the new FFB actually feels better than before because you no longer get the massive oscillations and the "over the edge" FFB behaviour is also massively improved where previously the FFB felt dull when driving over curbs in High speed corners and now with the new FFB you feel every curb and a lot more FFB Details in general in High speed corners.
Key is that you HAVE TO use Max Torque 10 now and I also have to use FOR on the wheel at 120 to get decent Feedback around the center but as said with this settings it actually feels better than before!

Do you have it set to 'peak'? I have the Podium and the feedback feels good to me, possibly slightly better on GT7 than GT Sport....

Good starting point . Keep practicing.
Just test it without the damper and give some laps to it.
I do not have V3s my self but most of the users do not use it for the brake at all.
For gas pedal in the 3 lowest settings is were it helps a lot with the throttle control especially in low inputs.
Just got my wheel last night and I find the recommended settings to feel extremely dull and a bit too heavy. Is there a collection of user-profiles anywhere? Also is there a good breakdown of what each setting does? Thanks
Check the manual. There is a very good break down there of each setting.

In the Download section of Gt DD PRO there a full manual in pdf to download.
Very detailed in many things.
As soon as I get to the src station, I will try to remove the brake dumper

I suppose if there is very little ffb and is hardware related it should be obvious through the ffb test in the Fanatec control panel.

I didn’t decrease, I increased.

Try compatibility mode until PD fixes the bug. It‘s better than nothing…..
Don’t think it’s a bug, they note it in the patch notes.
Please test it in comp mode.... ffb is much stronger there.

Force at 120 and Torque at 10? This looks more like a "workaround" than new recommended settings.
No that's how the new FFB feels actually better than ever before.
I will give it a try : )
Thank you for the Setttings. I have adapt it to my previous and it feels very good now.
