CSW V1 not recognised

Hi.
My new CSW V1 is not being recognised by Windows 10. Every time I try plugging in the USB, I get an error message saying 'USB Device not recognised'. I have installed the latest drivers and I can't try a firmware update because my PC doesn't think a wheel is even connected. What can I do?
I think this is an issue with the USB B socket on the rear I/O panel, it's felt loose ever since I got it.

Is the CSW in PC Mode? Can you try another USB input?
Yes, I have tried multiple USB sockets along with different USB cables, nothing changed at all. I have no idea if it's in PC mode, but I don't know how I'd change it with the first gen XBox P1 rim.
PC mode would the Double squares + Y until the light is Red.
