well, i did a clean install yet it still does nothing for me. With a new OS there must be some quirky things going on. I'm just reporting my issue saying that there's a potential of incompatibility with Win11
uninstalled 1.60.2 and clean installed 1.57.4. This older version actually works with my Win 11. To be precise, the app runs fine, but it (obviously) states that "profile mismatch, please use latest fanalab" since my driver package is updated to 429
No, there is no Potential incompatibility with Win 11. Your issue is unrelated to Win 11 and has different root cause the Dev is already investigating. But it has nothing to do with Windows 11!
Profile mismatch happens because your weprofiles re updated to new profile structure in 1.60.2 which is not backwards compatible with 1.57.4 and has nothing to do with the used driver.
Got it. Then it is strange that, at least from the perspective of running the app, 1.57.4 runs fine but 1.60.2 auto-quits on me. Also in my latest effort to install 1.60.2, i deleted all (at least i think) the folders related to fanalab (in program files x86, in appdata folder related to profiles and logs) before running the installation wizard.
Sorry missed this message - so you are saying that there is indeed an auto-quit issue similarly experienced by some other users and is currently being investigated? That's great then.
Hey Maurice! Since I use so many of your LED profiles I thought I would share the one I just made for the new M4 GT3 in ACC. Thank you for all your hard work!
Thanks but yesterday I already shared my profile in the forum here which is ready since months ;-)
Yours is a bit too light for my taste, FFB set to 43% in Linear Mode means just 8.6Nm Peaks.. I use FFB set to 60 in Peak mode which means Peaks of up to 15Nm, nearly twice as strong as you like it... :D
After a clean install, FanaLab won't work anymore. It just shows for a second and then the Windows-Pop-up "FanaLab stopped working ...." appears. Any ideas?
Comments
Stupid question but is there a way to copy paste Maurice's profiles for ACC, instead of importing one by one?
Yes, copy/paste them into C:\user\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab\settings and there in the respective folder of the game.
0_1 = ACC
1_1 = AMS2
4_7 = F1 2021
5_0 = iRacing
You are the man....
Thanks Maurice 😁
Will have new update for this issue soon?
I'm just a user rather than dev, please ping the support team directly...
Also, there may be two solutions to mitigate the issue:
#1 change your pc region to others, like united states.
#2 redirect the url (www.dropbox.com) to localhost and setup a nginx to serve the right product json like (https://www.dropbox.com/s/erftmxme98iw8bx/links.json?raw=1).
ok , i will try. are you come from China?
Attached is my error log from event manager.
Thanks for searching for the root cause and giving feedback, we'll take a closer look.
you can write me a personal message here in the forum by clicking on my name and then on the message button in the top right
Yeah, a real bad region that can cause bugs :P
it looks like 1.60.2 isn't compatible with windows 11. I launched the app and it automatically quit.
It is fully compatible and working fine here.
I live in Hong Kong and i tried to change the region to US but still not work. Hope they can fix the problem asap..
