Fanatec V1.5 handbrake and Inverted V3 pedals to DD1 PS5

Hello,
First, my current configuration works. Get that outta the way. But I see another option to connect the handbrake to the V3 pedals. Right now I am using the splitter that came with the handbrake that plugs both "pedals and "handbrake" into the pedal port behind the DD1.
However, I saw a port for handbrake on the V3 pedals that I did not see on the CSL Pedals I had before.
Does anyone know if there is an advantage to plugging the handbrake direct to the v3 pedals ? The pedals would connect to the pedal port and remove the splitter that came with the 1.5 handbrake ? Does it even work ? Do I need to stay with the splitter arrangement ?
Just curious before I have to remove the pedal base plate to get to it ;(

Doesn’t the DD1 have a port for the handbrake? I could have swore it did. Anyway, not really any extra benefit to connecting to the pedals PCB, if I’m not mistaken. It just allows you to use the handbrake with the pedals on PC if you don’t have a Fanatec wheelbase.
Indeed, I just use the handbrake port on the back of the DD1. No need to use a splitter cable.
