F1 2018 (PC) Advance Paddle Module - Upper Paddle input not recognized

I have just installed the clubsport formula v2 wheel with the podium advanced paddle module.
I am trying to map some bindings to the upper paddles (c1, I believe is the designation in the manual) for DRS and F1 2018 does not detect any input from the upper paddles.
The fanatec driver software recognizes input on the paddles
The middle paddles (5+6) work and the analog clutch paddles appear to work.
Is this a known issue? Do these paddles work on newer versions of F1?

On which wheelbase are you using the wheel and what Driver and firmware have you installed?
But there is also a change that it's the game that doesn't recognise the input number. Had that in the beginning with F1 2019 if i'm correct. It took a few updates to get that fixed. In F1 2020 it worked out of the box. I don't know anymore if it ever worked in F1 2018.
But you can always use a workaround and use something like simhub to bind the paddle to a normal keyboard key to get them working. This when the game doesn't support the paddle input numbers.
Thank you for the suggestion. Using Simhub to map the paddle manually to a key seems to work well as a workaround.
The paddles seem to identify at buttons 60 & 61, maybe that's some limit on F1 2018.
