Shifter Paddle Noise (Universal Hub vs Magnetic Shifters)

I'm getting complaints from my other half about the noise of my shifter paddles on my Universal hub and noticed that the replacement magnetic ones say "quiet operation".

Has anyone found a way to quieten the universal hub ones or can anyone comment on how much quieter the new magnetic ones are please?

    Thin rubber tape between the two bits that clack together.


    The magnetic ones still make noise. Your missus will still moan. Might be easier replacing her. :-)
