I think to order a cronus! sony still does not help, but Fanatec has to find an excuse to protect their customers ... I have a CSWv2 with two wheels, CSPv2, CSS seq, CSH, after all this investment, not going back to a combo steering wheel as the new CSL elite (I know it's for xbox)
Hey drivers, CSR/CSP/PS4 user looking for a solution like everyone else.
I've been reading about the CronusMax and according to the website any Fanatec wheel must be connected to a Windows PC running software called X-AIM in order to be used on PS4. I haven't seen anyone mention that they are doing that. Hopefully someone will get it figured out, the guinea pigs are appreciated lol.
i have sent an e mail to CronusMax support, i will also make a video as to what i'm doing and what is going wrong to send to them. hopefully they can tell me what i'm doing wrong. if they do and i get it figured out i will most definitely share with everyone.
yes i have, i actually just bought the Cronusmax yesterday, and tried all of this yesterday. and like i said the G27 works with the Ps4 but Not the Fanatec. i am trying this on the PS4 Wheel Mode, with Firmware V1.21.
And THATS where it goes wrong. You need fw 1.22 for use with Fanatec.

No I know........i DO have V1.22 in PS4 Wheel mode..........That was a typo. I Just verified that i have the current firmware. like i said it tries to connect but i get the E on the Cronusmax. which is why i think it might the usb hub
I've received my cronus today and am getting the same as you William - it's doing my head in. I'm just getting 'E' displaying on the cronus. I'm using a standard usb 2 hub too. Hmmm. Also, having read more I'm not sure the Fanatec gets full FFB support either. Do you have to put the wheel in PS3 mode? If so, how the hell do you do that?
i would e mail support and at least make them aware of your problem. maybe the issue is with their firmware and they don't know it yet. keep in mind that firmware was just released on Aug. 25th
I am suspecting it may be a hub issue. Look what the manual says : don't need to plug a PC and you must use a compatible USB hub. Here is the list of officially compatible hubs : http://cronusmax.com/manual/compatible_usb_hubs.htm. I think you should check yours. Since I'll get my CM delivered tomorrow I'll keep you posted then.
Although some wheels work out of the box, most Racing Wheels such as
Logitech G27 and most Fanatec brands take a lot more setting up due how
advanced they are. In most cases they also require a Windows PC to be
connected to the CronusMAX along with a special plugin (X-AIM, or MAX
Input) and dedicated scripts that have been pre-made by our team of
specialists.

i have uses two (2) of the hubs on that list. BOTH to no avail.
I repeat my question in case no one in Fanatec has readed: Could somenone in fanatec give a good solution to all of those consumers
that one day decided to buy the CSW V2 because of the compatibility
with the PS4??????????????? And when I say solution I dont have in mind to buy another
periferial or the one "you can still use it in your old games such as Dirt o Project Cars"
They don't have a agreement with Sony yet. That's been stated a few times already. So they can't give you a solution. You'll have to continue to wait. While you wait go and complain to Sony on every site they have. That will help your options more than anything. If Sony thinks no one is upset by this then they won't try to work with Fanatec. Sony will just dictate the terms.
I think it is disturbing that Fanatec blames the producer of the game (who had AC working before official release) and Sony acts like its nose is bleeding. I wander what Fanatec will do to compensate those who have bought a 1500,- euro setup to play on the PS4 with, which turns out not to be working on the PS4 at all.....

And stop making noise about the cronusmax. It's a non sollution, which in PS4 term will get blocked everytime there is a PS4 update!
Thomas....isn't there ANY way to convince Sony that you create a whole new PS Rim and, IF POSSIBLE, create firmware that ONLY that rim can be used to play on PS4 ? I wouldn't mind buying a new rim if that's what it takes to keep playing on my ps4....I just don't wanna spend money on a downgraded base ? And don't get me wrong...the CSL is indeed a piece of art...but because of the One belt drive, just not as Smooth as the V2.

COMPLETELY AGREE if they make us buy a NEW base i'm afraid i'm out as a Fanatec Customer. I will buy a new rim just like the Xbox 1 but i Won't buy a base AND a rim. especially if it is a downgrade.

I won't even do that. I don't negociate with terrorists
I have one word that I think no one is exploring. LAWSUIT and by this I mean against Fanatec and Sony. Lawsuits facilitate change. You complaining to Sony and Fanatec on a post does nothing but give you a sense that you are making headway by venting your frustration but nothing ever gets done and this type of treatment continues. Class action lawsuits however let the producers know that the consumer will not be screwed over. So What needs to be done is we all need to get a petition going or begin exploring those avenues. I am sure with all the money that we have wasted in investing with Fanatec combined there is an Attorney that would gladly take the case. As posted earlier this is both Fanatecs and Sony's fault. I for one am tired of every time Fanatec screws us the go to response is to point the finger elsewhere and tell us to go to Sony or Microsoft as Thomas sits at the table with them. How the hell can you tell us to go to them but you have the channels to make the deals with them. It's shady business practice IMO. It should not be us that has to go to them it should be Thomas and the powers that B at Fanatec that are sitting at the table with Sony.

I understand the Frustration of all of you but I cannot say more at the moment. As soon as the contract is signed I will tell you what we can offer to you and why.
The reason why the CSW V2 won't be compatible is very obvious...those MFs from Sony can't live with the fact that an X1 hub and rim is being used on it.
But IMO...if you don't step up a bit...people WILL sell their V2 and just walk over to TM...also to be coming customers...they don't wanna wait any more for a PS4 CSL.
Cause a lot of guys I know already bought a T300 or T500 with pro pedals...and they were pending to go for CSW V2
A PS4HUB to sit alongside the current XBOHUB (followed up by a NEOHUB and/or a ScorpioHUB etc etc etc if need be) is a lucrative market that gives incredible flexibility to the user AND the manufacturer.
Users will no longer have to buy numerous bases (which I don't think is a viable), they need only invest in the hubs and rims etc! Meaning there is no need to buy any other base OTHER than Fanatec...ever!
If Sony will allow a HUB (like MS) and confirm that ALL official peripherals will work on the next console (like MS) they will sell like hot cakes (as will Fanatec Bases).

Since only the half of the promissed platforms are working, Just give is back half of our invested money on the base and Wheel/ Universal hub.

Sounds like that would be the only solution for really ketting somewhere. Otherwise both Will only Keep pointing to each other to prefent themselves to compensatie their customers.
It is true when it was all over the Fanatec web site on all the club sport range it clearly said PS4 compatible until suddenly one day it was taken off and a announcement appeared stating it was now up to developers(the first I had heard) but nothing would change now this.
You might have already noticed that we have removed the icons to show the PlayStation compatibility on our website. So what does that mean?
As
part of the licensing process for a new, officially licensed racing
wheel, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) has asked us to stop promoting
our unlicensed wheels as beeing PlayStation compatible and we are happy
to comply with that. As soon as we have a fully licensed PlayStation
wheel on the market, we will officially announce the compatibility
again.
If you already purchased a Fanatec product with previously
promoted PS3 or PS4 compatibility, basically nothing will change for
you. The compatibility for those wheels still depends solely on the game
developers and if they decide to add/keep support for their wheels in
their games or not. If you purchase a new wheel from us from now on we will only guarantee the PC or Xbox One compatibility as advertised.
I hope you understand our position and rest assured that we do everything to make our products as compatible as possible.Posted in march
To my fanatec if I has answered, saying me that are working in this and logically want that all their products are compatible with ps4, but still are working on that and not can expose is. The truth is that fanatec offers a service customer first and them if you care really to its users, that is why I hope a solution the more quickly as possible so that our investment is not useless for ps4

A HUB would be the most elegant solution.

Fingers crossed Sony will consider that route.
It is very important to disconnect the DS4 from the console over bluetooth before plugging the CM :
