Question about button box

I just received my button box from overseas today. My question is concerning the usb cable. I purchased a female usb to male rj 12 adapter for the button box to plug into my podium dd 1 wheel. What my question isl? Will this connection work like that and has anyone else tried hooking up to the wheel using the female usb to male rj12 adapter for any additional accessories.

    Can someone please tell me in detail how I can add a button box to my podium dd1 wheel base. I don't know where else to ask this question but in this topic of the forum. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    As the button box is a standalone USB device I think this simply doesn't work.
