CSR Shifter (H-Pattern & Sequential) PS/2 Standalone option?

My Forza CSR Elite Wheel finally expired. I have the shifters still and would like to use them, however they can not be detected by the PS2 port or a PS2-USB adapter. Is there a way to use those shifters directly or are those junk now too?
