Curiosity about P1 LED

Hello guys! do you know what the white LED above the Playstation logo in the center of the P1 steering wheel does? I've never seen it on.. and yesterday after 4 hours of driving I saw it light up but it doesn't seem threatening! (indicates cooling fans on?)

    Actually nothing on the PS4 wheel.

    On the Xbox version the white light indicated its in Xbox mode.

    ah ok!! its so strange that the LED lights up after hours without a sense ... but thanks for the reply Maurice.. in fact I was thinking about that too :D
