PS4 wheels compatible to PS5!

Today, Playstation finally made the announcement you were waiting for for such a long time.
Your Fanatec wheel bases and racing wheels which are officially PS4 licensed will be compatible to the new PS5!
This is a consumer friendly and important decision and makes sure that you can continue to use your valuable equipment for a very long time.
Microsoft already made a similar announcement so all current console products in our portfolio are future proof.
I can also tell you that we are in close contact with Polyphony so it is very likely that our wheels will be fully supported by GT7 from day 1.

Nice!
Great news!
Just bought Podium Racing Wheel F1 and PS5 is pre-ordered.
No rush jump to PC.
Great news for those who bought Fanatec's PS4 gear :) But Sony had to do it, after Microsoft already announced it :P
You actually can not pre-order the PS5 anywhere... ?! :D
At Finland there is multiple places where you can place pre-order.
First ones is made Christmas 2019.
So when PS5 arrives they sell it at order what date you placed pre-order.
Payment is when pick so no need pay anything, just remember place pre-order 😊
I made my´n at beginning of June, hope to get unit from first shipment.
Fantastic news.
I would like to know about the pedals also, specifically the CS V3. Given that it's a couple years old now would it be compatible?
And also is there a new version of this pedal set due to be released anytime soon?
You have to connect pedals to the base so as long as the base is compatible - yes every attached accessory is also automatically compatible.
Also, Fanatec isnt informing about new products in advance so dont expect an answer to the new pedal question.. ;-)
Unlikely that they make a CSP v4 - when a new pedal set will be released I guess it will be Podium.
Thanks Maurice. As long as the CS V3 is compatible as confirmed I don't mind getting that. From all I've seen in research it's a most excellent pedals set. I love the idea of it having hall sensors etc too. I currently have the standard 2-pedal set I got with the CSL Elite PS4 Starter Kit bundle but I've become to hate the potentiometers always needing cleaning, spoiling and having gone through a couple well already as a result. Can't wait to buy the V3. Cheers.
Seeing how some wheels support were dropped mid-gen on PS4, don't count on me to ever play sims or simcade on console ever again.
Any hope you guys can sell the Ps4 dd1 as a standalone device? Seeing some folks aren't interested in the blue f1 wheel and just want ps4/5 compatibility.
I'm sorry if I look pessimistic, but I only believe that at Sony when I see it.
Sony's statement yesterday was a bit vague:
"Please note that not all officially licensed PlayStation peripherals or third-party accessories work on the PS5. Sony recommends checking with the manufacturer to determine if a product is compatible with the PS5 and certain games."
At Fanatec you certainly don't have a PS5 Dev Kit to test it, do you? ;-)
I ordered a new bundle 6 days ago and no shipping info has been sent. Tried to email and it is an endless loop that won't send- tried to call USA # but mail box is full- No reception answering either! No support- no info- Is this a scam? What does it take to get a response? They took my money very quickly and with great efficiency. Nothing else seems to work quite as well-

Nice, but what is with the the XBOX Series X/S and its compatiblity?
That was confirmed 15 months ago.
Thanks, I didn't find this information.

@Thomas Jackermeier
do you know why the Xbox Series X/S version of DiRT 5 is compatible with Fanatec Wheels, but the PS5 version is not yet.
Are you in contact with Codemasters about the issue?

Update 2.00 for DIRT 5 includes the addition of wheel support across all platforms. Ahead of this, we’ve gathered more detailed info how this feature will be implemented, and what options will be available to wheel users.
PS5/PS4
Modern devices from Logitech are set to supported, including the G923 and G29. Modern Thrustmaster wheels are also supported, such as the T150, T500, T80, T300RS and T-GT. Fanatec devices will not be immediately supported on Sony versions of DIRT 5 – we’re working hard to add Fanatec wheel support on PS5/PS4 in future updates and will let you know when progress is made.
Xbox
Similar to PlayStation, DIRT 5 on Xbox consoles will support the majority of modern wheels, including the Logitech G923 and G920. Thrustmaster devices listed above will also be supported, as well as the Ferrari 458 Spider Racing, TMX and TS-XW. The Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel, ClubSport Wheel Base v2/2.5, and Podium Wheel Base DD1/2 will all be supported on Xbox platforms, too.
