a issue with Beta driver 4.31. After switching to Standard Mode and switching back to Advanced mode, the Profile settings of the current Profile are reset to default settings.
Oh well, I was so hoping I could use my BMW GT2 wheel again, the random inputs may have gotten a bit better, was hopeful for a bit, but then it happened again and it threw me into the setup menu again, too. Sadly can't use it in VR like that.
with the change for FFB Scaling PEAK and LINEAR settings being swapped, I noticed my FFB profiles in Fanalab (1.60.2) also got swapped (was Peak previously, now in Linear mode after driver update). So had to manually change it from Linear back to Peak again. Saw this when I noticed the FFB felt really different in ACC right after installing the driver.
Just in case anyone else is feeling different FFB too!
edit: actually looks like bug in Fanalab, it doesn't account for the position being swapped so when you have it set to Peak/Linear in the FFB settings, it will be correct there, but if you save the profile you can see that it is saved as the opposite mode, so
You must have missed the point in the announcement / first answer in the thread that you have to update Fanalab to 1.60.6 as well which was released Together with the new driver because of course the old Fanalab version would have trouble when something was changed on a newer Firmware.
Thing is... When you update to 1.60.6 now I think you have to change the profiles once again... :D
Maurice !. With this new engine, what do you recommend ?? .. delete the calibration or not ??. Have you tried both ??!. Tell us!!. After testing your configurations, I see that we are on the same path hahahaha! ;)
I think this has been posted at least since last version, after motor update I have to close update manager from task manager cause it gets stuck at the end of update.
Another thing I've noticed since at least 429 is that the countdown before you can proceed with the update doest work, meaning the numbers don't get to 0, even though I can press ok after 10s, also you can't deselect the option to save the profiles to be restored after update the base.
Handbrake calibration (connected to base DD2) doesn't work. You can press the buttons but they don't calibrate anything.
DD2 - no issues with update. All seems well and like the simplified profile as a baseline. Think it’s been a necessity for awhile given how vague it can be to suss out settings both in game and on wheel across many sims.
Though on auto-default with load cell brakes, the 50 BF is very light making topping out very easy, but I get it’s just a baseline, especially for CSL pedal users.
I also don’t notice an LED brightness change on my Podium BME. Confirmed using new v19 update for it but they look the same when in use as before from v429 previously, not brighter or anything. Not using Fanalabs yet if that impacts them?
P DD1, PC, non Fanatec pedals, GT3 V2, Formula V2, Podium Hub, UHX
The driver 431 update went flawlessly as always, updating the DD1 motor and base firmware and the wheels.
Unfortunately, I don´t get any input from the CS V1.5 handbrake anymore (connected directly to the DD1). Neither in the control panel nor in any game.
I still have a set of the old CSL Elite Pedals/LC. If I connect those to the DD1 and the handbrake to the pedal controller it works and shows input in the driver UI.
Also, I noticed that the setting of the 'map sequential shifter to shifter paddles' does not get stored. When switching between base modes (CSW2.5 / PC) or exiting Fanatec Control Panel and reopening, the slider is always in the 'OFF' position.
Additionally, though that may very well be a subjective experience, I feel that the new motor firmware made my DD1 feel more juddery ("coggy").
I used to never have an issue with cogging, but even after the motor calibration, I can can feel it now and it does not feel smoother than before.
However, this may need some time to get used to and may be subjective.
The other two issues are kind of annoying though and I would very much appreciate any help.

Hello,
a issue with Beta driver 4.31. After switching to Standard Mode and switching back to Advanced mode, the Profile settings of the current Profile are reset to default settings.
That's intended for Profile 1.
Is it worth upgrading if I come with the Podium Base from 429 in terms of FFB and driving experience?
Very satisfied so far with 429 ....
Yes as it contains a new Motor Firmware which drastically improves the feeling.
Thanks for this clue, but in my opinion it's still a bug.
Well, but its not.. ^^
Its the actual intended behaviour so it cant be a bug...
And tbh its not a real life scenario. Nobody will switch back and forth between Standard and Advanced Mode...
everything works so far and feels great, but my mclaren gt3 v2 cannot be updated to firmware 43, regardless of whether it is automatic or manual.
question: shouldn't be in the display of the mclaren gt3 v2 under st wheel at least version 41, better version 43, I have version 33?
is that not the version of the mclaren gt3 v1 ??? or am I making a mistake?
@Maurice,
I have a question.
Is DD2 Motor firmware 42 compatible with base firmware 689 and drivers 429.
Otherwise said I want to use driver 429, but take the advantage only for motor calibration from 431.
Is this valid/possible?
Should work, yes.
You are sure you updated the base firmware?
It should show 41 or 43 if you flashed the McLaren v2. 33 is McLaren v1, yes.
What versions are driver UI on the left and Firmware Manager show for the wheel?

You should contact the support, its most likely a hardware issue of your specific unit as you are the only one who still has this problem.
shouldn't version 41 also be in the oled display of the mclaren gt3 v2 ???
yes
Hmm, all settings have stayed the same, but now I no longer have FFB with the Podium Base and F1 2021. Even if I turn it up, nothing happens.
What can it be?
Update: it works again. Nothing changed ;-)

yeah I was just going off of the main post that linked to fanalab 1.60.2 instead of .6 haha :D
weird because first thing I did when I updated driver was check for fanalab update and didn't see any
oh well!

Deleting Motor Calibration is no longer needed / recommended as the sticky Feeling is fixed now which was THE reason for deleting.

Hi guys,
I´m having the same issue.

Thanks in advance
For the other two issues there is no help other than downgrading back to driver 429 and included FIrmwares
Hope they fix it for next update, I think there is multiple players with us who have something better that V3 pedals.
I don´t use handbrake lot, so I can wait and not going to downgrade.
I didn´t try with ClubSport USB Adapter, think there is still not possibility to calibrate with that and for me it´s must (hall sensor modded).

That's... No issue. The BMW M3 GT2 V1 wheel does not have it's own firmware so of course nothing can be shown in the driver.
Also your Fanalab version is incompatible with the driver and firmware you are running.....
super, then it makes sense, with the BMW GT
the things that are fixed until CSL DD works and I can. Calibras handbrake again, I just missed that, 1000 thanks.
