VAT not removed for UK sale

Hi,

New to the sim racing scene and looking to order a GT DD Pro PS bundle. After adding to the cart and going through checkout I noticed it was still adding 20% VAT to the total. Surely this should be deducted for items shipped to the UK? Am I missing something here?

Thanks for any clarification.

    Yes, I've noticed that too. I've bought from Fanatec in the past without VAT and then got the separate invoice from UPS for the VAT and their admin costs. Perhaps the UK VAT payment is now arranged directly between UPS and Fanatec which would be more convenient but it would be useful to get an confirmation before you place the order.

    Dear Jonathan, thank you for your message. We’re currently implementing changes to our ordering process for UK customers. Following Brexit, customers were required to pay import charges separately to receive their parcels. This created an inconvenient and at times challenging experience. Now, we are pleased to have streamlined this process by allowing customers to pay VAT directly at checkout. Therefore, you do not have to worry about paying VAT a second time within entry to the UK.
